@lashie - I haven't seen Bad Sisters, but I watched the first series of The Morning Show when I was at DD's over the New Year. I really enjoyed it and it's on my list to watch first along with The Essex Serpent!👍
@doingitanyway @EssexHebridean and @badmemory - I chose to get a sofa bed rather than a futon, as it has to double up as my regular sofa in my living room which I sit on all the time. I share your pain about moving large pieces of furniture in and out of one's home!  When I first moved here I already had a beautiful three seater sofa which I loved, but when the time came to move in it wouldn't go into the flat as there is a very tight corner corridor to negotiate between the communal hallway and my front door!  I was gutted as I ended up having to buy a two-seater and have had these ever since!  Of course you can buy sofas now where the arms can be removed and fitted on again when moving so hopefully this can be accommodated as well.

The shower packed up again this morning,😡. Luckily I had just rinsed myself off but wasn't able to wash my hair!  I've put a call in to my plumber. Hopefully he'll contact me this evening.

This morning I went to the gym then this afternoon I've started the 30 Days To A Clean And Organised House routine which I do every so often. It'll be a bit more relaxed this time as I wont be able to do it 30 days on the trot as I'll be away from the flat some days but I'll keep going with it. Actually the kitchen bit will be a bit of a doddle as I did go through some cupboards thoroughly a few weeks ago. For example today which would have been Day 1 I didn't even do as the Cleaning Task bit was the daily cleaning routine that you have to do each day anyway and I always carry this out. It's basically making sure that all surfaces are cleared and housed with what only should normally go there, the bed is made, clothes put away,  the bathroom is tidy and sink, toilet and shower/bath is wiped down (I have always done Flylady's daily swish and swipe), the kitchen has nothing piling up and is wiped down and the high traffic areas are quickly vacuumed or dry mopped. The Organising Task would have been the Spice Jars/Rack but I did do this thoroughly recently and topped up what I needed. The Maintenance Task was laundry and I did wash a load but I was due to do this anyway as I always stay on top of the washing.
So I started today with Day 2 - Cleaning Task was to thoroughly clean and clear out the fridge, but again I did this recently so I just quickly gave the shelves a quick clean where they needed it. Organising Task was cleaning and clearing the cupboard under the sink - again I did the recently as well - at the time it was worth it as I found three bottles of dishwasher rinse aid and a big bottle of bathroom cleaner at the back!  I won't be buying any of these any time soon and the bathroom cleaner was moved to its rightful place in the bathroom cupboard! The Maintenance Task was to give the bedroom a more thorough vacuum along the skirting boards, dust the tops of the bedroom furniture and change the bedding (which I didn't do as I change these on Sundays).

Food wise it's been the normal breakfast, fresh fruit and fat free yoghurt and I cooked a SW Vodka pasta which will last a couple of days.

The sofa bed sounds ideal for you. I like the idea of it being remote controlled 👍
    Slimming World sounding good 👍

Oh dear!  I've been a neglectful diarist again.....  Creeps back onto board.....🫣
I will do better, I will do better.......
Things that have gone while I've been off the boards -
    -  finished the 30 day home clean and tidy
    -  I'm still slogging away a couple of times a week at the gym ( and feel better for it)
    - I've ordered my sofa bed and awaiting a date when it can be delivered
    - Have had some lovely times away - including dog sitting in the Highlands, weekend in Glasgow with DD, plus wonderful birthday weekend in Brighton with my family
    - a couple of great concerts - Michael Buble and Duran Duran
    - monthly PB wins - this month £25

On Tuesday I'm away for a week to France - it's an historical escorted tour visiting some beautiful chateaux and museums - something I've wanted to do for quite a while.
When I come back I'm here for a week then off to the Highlands for a couple of weeks to dog sit while DD and OH are on holiday. I've also got a couple of theatre trips in May slotted in as well.  So May is busy, busy!!
Today I've cleaned the flat before I go off on Tuesday. Later on I'm listing what I'm taking away in readiness for packing tomorrow.  I'll be catching up diaries too to see what everyone has been getting up to!
Tonight is cheese omelette for dinner, oven chips and salad to use up ingredients before I leave. Plus berries and banana with fat free yoghurt for dessert. I might dip into watching the Coronation Concert this evening on the TV as well.

    A NSD today!👍
Euros have been purchased and overseas friendly Barclaycard Rewards credit card is at the ready. I shouldn't spend too much whilst away really though as everything is inclusive apart from lunches, one dinner and any drinks. I do need a very light umbrella and light water bottle but will get these at the airport as I haven't time to buy these before I go. I'm also going to get some perfume at the airport as I'm nearly out of my favourite.
