I do wonder sometimes Debs!🤣🤣🤣🤣 I can't understand people who say they don't want to give up work because they'll get bored!  Still I suppose it depends on the individual. Some folks love their work. To me it was just a 'job' rather than a career though I always enjoyed the social life around it. I'm also lucky in that I have a reasonable pension that allows me a certain amount of freedom to enjoy things. 😀

I must admit to feeling more bored at work than I have ever felt since I retired.  My favourite thing is - if you are bored when you are retired you are doing it wrong.  That is even if on a budget too.  I sometimes don't even think to turn the TV on for days whereas I think I used to use it for mindnumbing purposes.

    Thank you @beanielou@in_need_of_direction and @doingitanyway 😀

beanie - I'm off to the Loire Valley!😀

Today I did most of my packing - I just need to pack my toiletries and a few other bits tomorrow morning. I've only got a luggage allowance of 20kg on these flights and I'm used to 23kg. So I'll have to weigh my suitcase tomorrow once all is packed to make sure I'm not over. The weather over there is looking reasonably mild but rainy for the next week.

I popped out this morning and had Sunshine Coffees with my friend. The weather was overcast but warm so we sat outside the cafe and watched the world go by.   When I got home I did my last round of washing before I go. I'll put the rubbish out tomorrow morning then it's off to La Belle France!✈️🇫🇷😀

Only spends today was coffees and lottery tickets. I got two numbers up in the lottery recently so won a lucky dip, plus it was a rollover and received a fiver as well!👍
My First Direct Regular Saver has also matured so I've moved the cash over to my Marcus savings account and have opened another Regular Saver one year account with First Direct as the interest is still 7%.
I had a Smart meter fitted recently. I've always been pretty good on turning lights off etc but it's amazing how the Smart meter has made me conscious of other things like my shower pump. So I now switch this off when not used as well as the oven and microwave. Watching the light on the meter turn from green to amber when putting the kettle on really makes you think!😳
