@EssexHebridean - the change in name of the courier has not transformed it at all!  It is still trundling on as inept as previously......
@redofromstart - the lack of kitchen worktop space is a problem for me as well. I've been mulling over where I shall be homing the velvetiser. At the moment it is looking like it will take the banana tree's place so that it can live adjacent to an electric socket!

My last full day in Scotland today as I'm flying home tomorrow and will have to leave in the morning. ☹️  The weather has been grey and overcast and then turned into a gale and teeming rain. DD and I walked over early evening to visit a neighbour who has been poorly and were nearly blown away. 🌬

    Another NSD!👍
And I received an email today to say that I've won a prize in the monthly PB draw!  This is a deja vu moment as when I won last month I was also here in Scotland without my PB log in details so I couldn't check what I'd won till I got home!  @badmemory kindly told me I could always look to see if I'd won without needing my log in details as I could use my PB account number to check on the website. Alas, I have again travelled up without any PB details at all so will still have to wait until I get home to see whether I'm a millionaire or not!🥴

I am a little anal & so I carry this sort of thing in code so I can check wherever I am.  My own personal codebreaker has not so far been able to access this, it wouldn't matter if he did , but it gives him a challenge.  He also has instructions on how to break the code when it becomes necessary.  I actually wish he would break the code but suspect he doesn't want to.  Human beings can be quite complicated!!!
  • If you set up the PB app once then you can check on there each month.
i also check for my grandchildrens each month

Thank you everyone!😀. I have checked the PB prize and alas it wasn't £1million but £75!  But all good and it's gone into savings.   I've also downloaded the PB app as advised by @Debsnewbudget so that I won't get caught out again!
I got back yesterday afternoon after a good journey - all went to plan and was on time. I'll miss the humans and the Bears though.....☹️
One thing though - I had to leave the velvetiser there so I won't have to move the banana tree after all yet!😂. I had taken a smaller suitcase this time and couldn't fit it in!  I didn't want to risk putting it in the overhead locker so will take it home next time I'm up there - making sure that I bring the big suitcase this time!🥴
Last night I took down the Christmas decorations (I had five more Christmas cards waiting for me when I got in!), unpacked and did a load of washing.
Today I did some dusting and then had a lazy day - I've been watching the new documentary series on Netflix about Bernie Madoff and his Wall Street Ponzi scheme. Unbelievable what he got away with while the US financial regulators did nothing.

Money out - jacket potato and coffee at airport while waiting for flight yesterday, car fare from airport, cream cheese bagel this morning from bagel shop, half-yearly service charges on flat.
Money in - PB win, £25 cash out on surveys from Opinium AND a very nice rebate from the Revenue as  I paid too much tax last tax year!😀

Great stuff on the PB win, the surveys and the tax refund too - nice to start the year with at least some of it flowing in the right direction isn't it! Nothing on PBs for us again this month - their days might well be numbered now!
