I think 3.5lb is a very respectable loss. If you keep it going at that rate you’ll lose a stone a month, which would be amazing. Well done 👏

  • Well done on your weight loss.

Good to see all the exciting theatre plans you have coming up :)

I went to the Globe to see R&J this week, my first theatre venture since lockdown.  It was amazing to be there and I realised how much I had missed it all...

    Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,120
  • Thanks @Onebrokelady - hoping for the same this week. The SW consultant asked me how much I wanted to lose this week. I said I'd be happy with 2lb. She talked me into going for 3.5lb again!  See how I get on!  Good luck for Monday!🤞

Hi @doingitanyway  - glad to hear you enjoyed Romeo and Juliet after so many months of theatre lockdown. The Globe is such a beautiful space.

On Thursday morning a pal who lives out of the area phoned as she was visiting our little high street to look for pictures for her living room and wanted to know if I was around. I and another friend met up with her and we had a mooch and went for lunch afterwards in one of our tea room type places. I had a jacket potato with beans and cheese and coffee.

Yesterday I had to wait in for the Sky engineer who was fitting my new Sky Q box. It was lateish when he arrived so I didn't go out. I like Sky Q though!👍

Today I've been for a walk - the weather has been mixed today, as it has over the last couple of days. Getting dark now - autumn has crept up very quickly it seems, but it's still my favourite season along with spring. 🍁🍁🍁

It was £10.40 for lunch - we split the bill.  I also bought some eco cotton buds.

  • Today was beautiful weather wise here in Seasideville. It started off misty early this morning but by late morning it was hot with blue skies and a light haze over the estuary. ☀️

I met my friend for brunch - we sat outside enjoying the sun. 😎 It was her turn to pay this time so I left the tip. On my way back I could hear some music coming from our local garden space. When I investigated there were stalls out on the lawn - including different foods, a bar, face painting for the kids, and some crafts. What I think must be our local version of Fisherman's Friends were on a stage singing sea shanties. They were very good so I stood and watched then for a while. 🧜‍♂️

When I got back I changed the bed clothes, spoke to DD, DSis and some friends on the phone and caught up with some TV I had recorded.  A friend told me about her DD who works as a receptionist at a vets surgery. Apparently the surgery is being inundated at the moment owing to the massive uptake in dogs and other pets people have bought during the lockdown. I must say I have really noticed the extra dogs being walked around here. Her DD said the worst thing is that the staff have suffered from quite nasty abuse on the phone by people when they have been unable to their book pets in for injections etc.

The tip for brunch. I also bought some toiletries in Superdrug and apples and ryvitas in Tesco on the way home.  Didn't win the lottery. 😡

Every year when we visited Cornwall there was a Shanty Festival advertised for the week after we returned home. There was nothing I could do about it as I was tied to school holidays…..but if I get this retirement goes through and the motorhome ever arrives it could be on the cards next year….you watch they’ll have cancelled it by the time I can go…..
Glad you enjoyed your lunch out with your friends. Seasideville sounded lovely in the sunshine.
