It sounds as if you’ve had a lovely day. I love old mill shops, we have one not far from here. I hadn’t been for years then rediscovered it in lockdown….

That's lovely and your mum will love it.

  • Today is the day to talk about part time working , a bit nervous that I am doing the right thing with everything going up , but it will only be 6 months surviving on my part time wage then my pension will kick in.
After sorting so much stuff out for my parents this week it is definitely the right thing to do for me . Fingers crossed my boss agrees with me .
I have been tracking my spends a whole lot better this pay month which since I became debt free I haven't done .

  • Finally home after 12 hours , full day in work 7.15 until 4.45 then to parents and picking dining chairs up, don't ask.
Today went well with my line manager , he is fully in support of my proposal. Now it's up to big boss and HR , who are notoriously slow at making decisions. It feels right for me at the moment , after 12 months I can go back to my full time roll or ask for permanent part time. Someone will have to be employed part time to cover the rest of my hours , but I know someone who is interested who already works for the same employer so it's just waiting now. Feel relieved it's out in the open now so too speak.
Need to eat now , just toast I think .
