  • Friday morning again and very busy week work wise and child minding. DGS2 has been a joy to have this week so far , Wednesday and Thursday afternoon plus a full day today. He is asleep at the moment , then I will take him to see his great grand parents .
As for work, I have a meeting with my boss the week after next to discuss my plans for part time working.
I have thought for so long about this I have more or less decided to go part time in June . I won't get my pension until December but have done lots of number crunching and lots of different scenarios and I think the time is right. I could keep procrastinating forever , as cost of everything rising etc .
However anyone who knows my history of family will understand that life is very short and I want to spend more time with my family as I get older and have a bit more freedom from a desk .
I will probably be living on rice and beans for 6 months but hey ho, it could be worse . I have a good pot of savings behind me if needed, plus I am looking forward to the challenge of living frugally for 6 months .

I have put it in writing now on here so that makes it feel more real.

Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.
