I stopped ironing and I really don’t miss it! Most things can get away with folding flat. For the odd occasion when I need something that dried wrinkled (like a blouse or going out type clothes) I iron before I wear them, but that’s really rare. I think before I went on strike I spent half my free time ironing 😖Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I’ve got DGD’s Christmas present on order as it’s something hard to get hold of. I don’t want to leave it until the last minute. Also got part of DS’s and DIL’s. Fortunately not many presents to get, we’re a small family.Hope you get a relaxing weekend as it sounds like you’ve got a couple of hectic weeks coming up.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Your next couple of weeks sound good. Clever, organised ol' You getting the presents sorted. Not even thought about my list yet! Although my sister has bought my little nephew's presents already in case the reported lack of toys for sale at Christmas materialises. She said she's not that bothered about other presents but wanted to get his sorted. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

The presents are coming on well, all the children are bought for and that was my main driver. The last 2 friends who I have asked not to buy for me seemed relieved to lose more presents that they needed to buy.The money is waiting in the Xmas pot for the credit card bill to come .Today is DD s birthday, we are going for a family meal later , she goes back to work in about 6 weeks and then I resume my child minding Fridays . It will be a shock to the system for sure.Have a good day everyone.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.3

We are not buying presents for grown ups this year, takes some of the worry out of Christmas.
Enjoy your DDs birthday meal.

Hairdressers last night , my niece is on maternity leave so had to pay full price not so bad £56 .Tonight meeting friend in the big shopping mall, but got a hospital appt before that . Hoping not to be to long at hospital it's a private one so usually fairly quick.Tomorrow meeting 2 other friends for lunch , really looking forward to that . It's payday on Monday we have had a 1.5% pay rise from this month and we got a lump sum earlier in the year . It won't be much but better than nothing at all.Well better do some more work now .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.3
