Because of your gratitudes @mothernerd I am also glad not to be in Wigan, or Blackpool for that matter,  but I did have a lovely time in Llandudno 20 odd years ago,  having a bbq on the beach in the rain - we only went for the afternoon (2 hours there, 2 hours back) but the company was good, still, I can confirm the one and only time I was in Llandudno, it was indeed raining, so it might not just be you.

We escaped the worst of the weather here, just been windy all day so I managed to get out for a walk, but the heavens opened about 30 minutes ago.

No NSD here as ordered some pain relief cream online (can you tell my back is bad again lol). 

Grateful for a lazy day, an evening swim, and seeing a friend at the pool.

Hi everyone

sorry for going AWOL.  

We had a day out on Saturday to the south lakes as DD2 did a tandem skydive!!  It was very nerve wracking gazing up into the sky for what seemed like hours waiting for her parachute to appear.  Anyway she loved it, wants to do it again and raised over £1000 for charity.  I have some lovely pics and a few more grey hairs.

Yesterday and today I have done more studying (yawn, boring myself now) and some of my PT job.  Been for a walk in the rain with DD2.  Watched half of the film Rocketman.  Eaten too much.
Tomorrow it's back to day job and PT job in the eve.  Must get back into better eating habits.

Pain relief cream is medical Icc86 so if you didn't buy anything else, you keep your NSD - we don't want anyone to delay seeking help because they're afraid of losing an NSD. Similarly with travel, as long as the money you spend is in your travel budget, you won't be penalised for filling your car with petrol on a particular day - no stranded turtles who were hoping to make it home on what was left in the tank.

I have a photo of me + big sis up the Little Orm by the trig point in Llandudno, from the 70s. In what passed as cagoules in those days. So I guess it was raining even then... However, dh, dd and I went there a few years ago, to find the spot, and had glorious weather.

Today I am grateful for remembering to do an early wash so dd's uniform could dry, for a good gym sesh, for popping to see a friend in the afternoon as dd walked with a friend, for a good book, for plans to get dh out for a few hours tomorrow so that I can have some time at home on my own!

Morning, bank holiday was mostly dry here. Dropped hubby off for dialysis, then met a friend from work. She showed me round her new house, then we went for a walk. Big monthly shop next, picked hubby up & went home after buying a bird bath for last & this year's wedding anniversary present. Saw some metal puffins (garden ornaments) had been left at a nearby landmark, so went to see if we could find one. No, we didn't. Quite windy & turned cold, so blew away some cobwebs.  Topped car up with diesel too. Some knitting & watched TV at night. A very spendy  day, shouldn't need to spend today thankfully!

Hi. First appearance for me this month, laughing at your Llandudno rainy stories. I live 5 miles away and it doesn't always rain honest.

Belated Happy Anniversary f0xholes and hubby.

May 1st - Went to local Zoo, it was so lovely and gs met a friend so that made it a bit easier for me.  Gd stood up for herself amongst the lads which was funny. NSD 1 in the bag, as they got treated by gs's friends mummy for ice creams.

May 2nd - Decluttered wardrobe - it seemed to go back as far as Narnia, ready for kids move in. Thought I was having a day to myself but kids turned up in afternoon, as internet not been disconnected at their house, ready for move. Thank heavens for having got a chicken in, as ended up feeding them again. NSD 2 gained

May 3rd - Rained all day, slept in until 9am first time in about a year, then sat watching tv all morning, so nice to chill out. Decluttered more in afternoon, bedrooms look lovely and toys have arrived.  NSD 3

Today - woke up at 8am, I start work at 8.30 5-10 min drive and still got here, make up on and fully clothed, breakfast eaten and lunch made I shocked myself. Need not have rushed none of my bosses are in yet hehe. Paid a little bit off my cc just to round it up, will clear by the end of the month.  No need to spend today hopefully won't claim NSd yet though. ;-)

NSD No 2

Another horrible day but it seems to be clearing up now so maybe a walk tomorrow. With a bit of luck.

Mothernerd - Your stories of Bank Holidays made me smile. We've all been there, haven't we? Forced into "enjoying" ourselves when we'd really rather be sitting on the sofa with a G & T reading a book. I've never been to Llandudno but it does rain a lot in Fort William in my experience. In case any Turtles live there I do like Fort William. It's just always been a bit wet when I visited. And I didn't know it was National Star Wars Day. I love Star Wars. The Boy and I go to see the films every time they are being shown in the cinema. I better not tell him or he'll be up all night watching the whole series from start to finish.

Deni - I knew a girl who did a tandem sky dive for charity. She said all she could hear was someone screaming then she realised it was her. I am not nearly brave enough. Well done to your daughter.

So some lovely sea bass for tea with asparagus. I love asparagus and gorge myself on it when it's in season.
