Oh I so do not need a lost / odd sock day! It can't be a celebration?? must surely be a commiseration day, or a memorial day to all those lost at sea. Alas poor Sockio, I knew his brother. Sockiotwo.Laundry drying on the line, going to make a plum crumble, just because I can. I am not going to let anyone annoy me.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Woke up yesterday with a horrendous head ache so spent the day watching the election results. An unexpected NSD No 6
Food delivery arrived this morning so lots in for next week but probably need a walk to the fruit and veg shop tomorrow for my salad top up.
Hope everything is ok with you, Carrie. It's always a difficult situation to find yourself in. Take care.xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
Evening all, no NSD here as OH and I bought lunch, £5 spent. Went to volunteering for an hour this morning, then for a swim, then a short horse ride. Got my foot trodden on by a very large hoof, am getting a nice bruise and my toes are swollen but I'm sure it'll be fine in a couple of days.
Weighed myself for the first time in months and have lost a stone, so my healthy eating and exercise has been working. Only a bit more to go I'd say.
Grateful for my back holding up well today, a beautiful sunny morning, and an afternoon nap.4 -
hi,
been busy working on 2 x election counts with no time or opportunity to spend so achieved 2 NSDs taking my total to 5. I did buy some petrol but the customer in front at the checkout paid for mine by mistake; when me and the cashier realised i went to catch him but he drove off, the cashier said it's fine, you can pay for his petrol which was £5 lessThe other customer was in a company van so he hasnt personally lost out.
There was loads of waiting around at the election so i took some reading for my qualification which was very helpful. Today i have finished another submission which i've sent to my mentor for comments; in the middle of another one after an hour on the phone with a colleague. My life is very boring at present as all i do is work and study but the end is in sight (of my studying i mean!).
Hugs DrCarrie - & anyone else that needs one.
Gratitudes - helpful colleagues and Fb support group for qual; nice phone chat with DD2; DD1 has bought me a glass jar with bunny ears that i will try not to lose before next Easter

Ending the first week of May with 1 NSD. Lots of smallish spends as I’ve looked to update DS’s underwear and PJs - finding socks I liked one day, vests another, pjs another, and so the story goes.
This week I set myself the task of eating healthier and I really noticed the difference. I mean really, really. No bloated stomachs, no heartburn, less lethargic, and oddly my skin is really soft after being dry and flaky for months. I had porridge every morning, and a mix of kiwis, grapefruit, strawberries, bananas, limited bread and dairy, and drank lots of water. Wish it was easy to keep it up but there are always so many tasty temptations.
Sunday sweep today. £18.35 underspend in leisure and £17.65 underspend in groceries.
DS went a whole week with dry night nappies so trying him without nappies. Woke this morning dry. Hopefully this is it. By by nappies!
Dropped 2 bags at the charity shop yesterday. Only one bag left for our friends’ DD.
Grateful for DS spending a couple of nights with his grandparents, time to go walks with OH, time to tidy and clean and get a bit of order back in the house, for colleagues showing appreciation for my help (a thanks goes a long way), for Covid vaccine appointment, and to have DS home.

Today I am grateful for finding bamboo poles in Alladin's Cave (albeit 3 metre ones, which must have looked funny as I carried them home on my shoulder!), for the plant man having such a choice, for having a plastic bag with me so I could carry the purchased plants home as well as the poles, for lovely walking weather and for planting out most of what I bought, for watching Aeronauts on pr1me, for dd improving as the day progressed, for my vaxxed arm being infinitely less painful and achey today, for dh fixing some cup hooks to the top of the fence so I can train the honeysuckle along there and start a bit of a barrier between us and next door...

NSD 6. Many small jobs done in between cooking brisket for Sunday dinner (casserole veg in the pot with the brisket, veg medley - Broccoli, carrot, green beans and baby sweetcorn and swede and carrot mash). 3 vases wrapped for the cs collection and many trips to the recycle bins. late afternoon I went out and put a (metal) raised bed together - perfect for the space I had for it, just need to work out which tub will fit best in the back corner (large concrete lump where two fences and on garage meet). Tried to rain on me but I stayed out and it gave up.
After food I was going to go out again and start filling the bed but it had rained and wasn't going to mess about finding a way to sit down without getting wet (dress and cardigan were in the washing that has been out on the line during yesterday's downpour - all brought in today). Now I am so, so tired.
Grateful for yummy food, progress (baby steps), books, puzzles and a couple of tv series.
