Morning Turtles 🐢
Grim weather here and my back was hurting in the wee small hours so no lie in for me. Maybe I'll sneak in a nap later as I have no plans today lol.
NSD yesterday, but already spent today, I decided to book my Iceland flightsthe prices were already going up. I live 2 train stops from Gatwick but the flights are £350 EACH WAY so am going from Luton instead where they were £50. Haven't gone through the whole booking of the PCR test yet, I've seen how expensive they are (interestingly the Iceland government offer them for free so suspect much profiteering is going on here!), am waiting to see if there's sufficient furore for them to reduce the price, or perhaps remove it altogether for those with vaccines?
No real plans today other than doing some little jobs around the house. Will probably get out for a walk at some point, I quite like walking in the rain weirdly. I also need to pop into town for a couple of bits. Was going to cycle but we'll see what the weather does - I might like walking in the rain but cycling is another matter!7 -

Today I am grateful for a quiet day, for taking dd to spend a bday voucher in WHS (from Jan!) and it worked on everything not just the books (which themselves were on a 3 for 2 offer), for dh doing some shopping, for free parking, for making arrangements for seeing some old friends tomorrow - tentative, but with potential!

A dry morning, so did a 3 mile walk with hubby. Weeded a border down the side of the driveway, offered a neighbour some plants that had self-seeded. Don't think either of us thought it'd be two bucketfuls!! The rain has been lashing down since 1.30, so I've done some reading & quite a bit of knitting.
Grateful for oldest & youngest sons going on adventures together, the garden starting to look tidier, warm blankets!Use it up, wear it out

Saturday- on 4 NSDs, yesterday was a NSD but today has been a small spend (animal food and milk). Weather has been horrendous all day so we have spent most of the inside. Lego has been built and movies have been watched.
Grateful today for managing to stay mostly dry, for getting a few things ticked off the never-ending to-do list and a good book.6 -
Turtles, I have been totally missing in action.
DGF - no more. It's the right thing, but it's been tough. And will be for a while I think.
I think I am on 4/15 NSDs

A very late setting out of my stall @mothernerd, I don't feel able to do it all this month so here is my focus.
Allow time to think about the month. I am doing this, one birthday this month and, seeing DD and going out with friends for dinner.
You should pay to your debt or savings first, live on what is leftover. - I do this, every month now.
Healthy eating not starvation. Very much doing this, it is my focus when everything is challenging.
Exercise should not be boring. I will do some!
Observe. Take time to sit and stare. Watch the wonders of nature unfold. Be mindful
You matter. Your thoughts, your dreams, your time, especially if you spend most of your time looking after other people. Make space for pampering and some of your favourite activities.
Reduce, repair, recycle, re-use. Yes, will do this as much as I can
Every penny a prisoner. Aim for 15 NSDs (low target) o
What is important to you? This will be an area for evaluation.
Hydrate
You should build - I think I will be rebuilding my relationship with myself a bit!

Hugs @DrCarrie that's tough. Be kind to yourself and remember the fun times. Summer is just around the corner - not that you would know it looking out the window today, but it is out there somewhere, waiting for you. Hold tight.Yesterday was NSD4 - scored a free 32" tv from the local recycling page - it old, but has built in freev1ew and it will be going to one of my old duffers I volunteer with - he currently only has a 19" so it is going to be like being in a cinema for him. Cost to all concerned £0, but happiness all round, and my good deed done for the week
. Now I can be evil
Weather = nice for ducks and gardeners (think positive) so today can be NSD5, exercise will be speed cleaning, veg will be roasted ready for quick lunches during the week, will melt down wax and make new candles.Gratitudes: full fruitbowl of loveliness, doing The Groniaud's quick crossword online with DS3 (he got 2), superglue.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
