Thursday- I have been very side tracked with "real life" so this is my first check-in of the month. I'm on 3 NSDs so not too bad. So far in May I've worked through the bank holiday, repotted some seedlings which I think have been killed by the crazy weather (we have so far in May had sun, rain, crazy wind, snow, hail and frost overnight), had my 1st COVID vaccine, had my first haircut in about 18 months and generally been ridiculously busy.
I will try harder to make sure I check in regularly.
f0xh0les- wow, how bad did she think things had to get before asking for help, I would agree missing meals to feed her kids made her a worthy recipient of your help. I can sort of understand people being embarrassed to ask for help but to think she didn't need it "enough" is sad. She sounds like the kind of person who, when her luck turns will remember and feedback the kindness.

Wishing you a fabulous Friday. Be kind to everyone you meet.

Morning All, nsd#4 here. Had a lovely day yesterday, collected no2's friend from the next village, then dropped them both off at college. Visited a very good friend from work, who is also off (has a poorly dad & dog, both quite old). Was so lovely to see her & share hospital stories. Came all the way home, weeded part of the garden & put the new bird bath in position. Picked the boys up again, had 20 winks, then after tea I went into the garden again. I've reused the soil from last year's hanging baskets to fill two troughs ready for sewing with butterfly & bee seeds. Going to put patches of these seeds around the garden to encourage wildlife.
I also follow Frugal Money Saver on Yootoob, along with What Vivi Did Next, The Last Homely House East of the Sea & Meanqueen. If we share some of the ones we follow, we might discover someone new to watch, quite handy to watch when you're doing the dishes!Use it up, wear it out

Missed posting in yesterday because I lent my laptop to a neighbour because he needed to do something for work. His might need update his lap top. The Boy is going to have a look when he comes down on Sunday. Lovely man gave me a big bunch of flowers as a thank you. Absolutely no need but very much appreciated..
Been watching the election results all day.
Little one's mother is getting a bit concerned about the amount of weight the little one is putting on and her diet in general. So I've talked to the little one and we are making a "special" box of low calorie treats just for her. Of course her sister wants one as well. But there you go.
Oh, I'm on NSD no 5Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
Still on NSD3 but I have shopped for food, and should not need to shop again until Monday, unless himself suddenly and urgently needs a pomegranate, or Martian salt grains. Have taken out all the money for the week. Have some niggley jobs to finish and get off the list once and for all.

NSD 4. 15 more items decluttered so current total is 1048/ 2021. Me, the shower screen and base were all cleaned and one small extra grooming task added. Gathered 2 bags and some loose cans into one bin bag, rubbish bin was full so got a new bin bag out then started refilling. Put my dirty dress on already covered in mud and paint so fine for shed cleaning and painting. Paper/ card fed into the bin (12 x 1 l bottles used to squash it down). Shower trap and lid thrown in a bucket of water with a splash of disinfectant (will use the 'cleaning' toothbrush when I find it). Potted up dwarf beans into individual yoghurt pots, found 11 more mushroom boxes for sowing more seeds. Then it rained on me, then started to hail - got inside before they started to come down like bullets.
3 cube boxes flattened and added to the pile on top of the wardrobe (have cube shelves at my house). Did a tidy up for the window cleaner. Took mesh off a fence panel and tried the willow + fake flowers ones in mum's fairy grotty. Got the hammer to break large fairy's swing (fell off the tree and swing part was broken so removed those) and then found a branch to thread her onto. Turned the 3rd raised bed over and painted the final edge - one paint can left outside to disperse VOCs before binning.
Grateful for being fairly mobile, sunshine between the showers, getting things done.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage4 -
Still on nsd#4. Bought a few bits in supermarkets & three items of clothing in charity shop for me. Have things in mind to donate (1 in, 1 out). Watched an episode of Superscrimpers Challenge with mum, then came home & removed all the soil in the raised border from around the bird table. After tea, I put new, scrappy soil in, then planted wildflower seeds in there & the two troughs I prepared the other day.
Was a but disappointed as I'd had money paid in from eboy & music black & white bird, they were lower than quoted. Guess with the new system of paying straight into your account, rather than use PayPol, they must deduct their fees each time instead of sending a monthly bill. As for the other stuff, some of the books can't have passed their quality control. Now I'm going to back to work, I can start advertising things locally again, & get the amount advertised for!Use it up, wear it out

Well what a difference a day makes. Got up early, did my journal, did some marking, walked the dog, swished my new hair, had good lessons with students, lunch with nice colleague, so a lovely day at work. When was the last time I said that. Once at home I managed to make dinner so it was ready for the boy when he got home, went to do a club run on track - timed 400m things, sad that I'm always last, came home and finally ate my dinner, at least there was a bit left.
Lost my NSD day along the way, will have to do better tomorrow.
But grateful for a lovely day and for feeling better and for casual conversations.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
