Well done, good progress. I presume you have looked at 0% interest no fee cards to see if you can reduce the interest you are paying a bit?

My journey started by looking at where I was paying the most interest and changing that first. Back in the day, I even took out 0% cash advance for 9 months (£10k for me, £15k for DH) on MBNA cards and paid off the cards then moved the balance around every few months because it was in two places. Sadly, I don't think they are on offer now
    Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread

Thanks, I have looked at 0% but don't have any options to do that yet. Hoping as I pay stuff off I'll be able to get more offers which will help.

  • Hey, I have been listening to the debt free dad podcast recently but have binged them all and now have no more to listen too. Does anyone else have any recommendations for debt free podcasts?

Sorry, I can't help with this as I didn't even know this was a thing!  May give them a listen when things have settled down... I tend to read the forums for advice and guidance on debt.

If you are after any topic of podcast I can recommend 'Off Menu' for comedy, 'White Wine Question time' for current affairs and Fearne Cotton's 'Happy Place'.

Down to under £500 on my Marbles card and it feels like the hardest to pay off so far. Not sure if I'm just being impatient though as I'm so close to getting it cleared 😆

Went from 1k balance to 500 really quickly but have slowed down progress due to the kids birthdays this weekend. However I am so proud that this is the first time in years I have paid for gifts and day out with cash and not debt.

Hope everyone else's journeys are going well

Wow that's amazing well done! You've sure given me a kick up my bum to pay off my debt!
