Am reading through your thread. I read somewhere else, that someone broke their debt into a page of squares, each square was £100, £200, £500 and then as they paid the amount off that the square represents they coloured it in. It mean that over time more squares were coloured in. They said it felt quite motivational

Hope everyone is doing well. We went camping last weekend and it was nice to get away for a few days and relax, even forgot about the debt for a bit.
Back on it now and the target this month is to carry on with a PAD, stick to our food budget for once and get below £1000 on the marbles card, its currently at £1,189.

I haven't been camping in years! Maybe I should dig the old tent out of the shed and see if we can get away once the house move is done (if ever )

We love camping, but can become expensive with all the stuff you can buy. Would recommend for a few days break though, especially when the weather is as good as it was last weekend

Hi! Just read through and wanted to say well done on the light bulb moment! Sounds like you've made a great start. The colouring in is such a good motivator! I'm focusing on mortgage pverpayments and focus on 1% at a time as our mortgage is huge it makes it feel more achievable....1% is £3,520 😥 so maybe i should start focusing on 0.1% but that feels too depressing lol.

Colouring squares in force here too! I’ve also found using an app helpful. The one I use is called Debt Manager and it gives you various tables, bars and pie charts to mark progress.you can also play around with the tables and look to see the impact of extra payments.

ANOTHER MILESTONE REACHED!!!! Got my Marbles balance under £1000 🥳 thats almost £1500 cleared since December, but more impressively 900 pound since end of April.

Next week will be going through all the debts to get updated balances.
