I'm still on Gas Tracker but my daily gas use is down in single-digit kWh.

I might reconsider in September or October!

Edit to add: playing chicken with wholesale gas prices is a dangerous game and might not turn out to be MoneySaving.

I've been using https://dashboards.energy-stats.uk/d/5cZqqmf4z/user-dashboard?orgId=1 to keep an eye on both Agile and Tracker. Over the last year, both gas and electricity average has been higher than the 12m fix I'm currently on. Agile, I might have saved 4-5p per kWh on electricity, but the late evening (20:00-22:00) rates of late are a bit too steep for my taste.

Is there any way to compare Octopus Agile with Tracker? I'm not sure how you would, but I'd like to.

I'll have a look, thanks. I've found several websites like Octoprice that will give you today's and tomorrow's prices the average daily price is very similar for both tariffs - 22.97p for Tracker, 22.3p for Agile.. but it so depends on how you use the tariff, how much you save - or not. And Agile's standing charge is 10p more per day.

I plumped for Tracker, because it seemed simpler: one price for the day, and life is too short to worry about half-hour intervals to save a few p. But I see that Octoprice will show you all of tomorrow's prices for Agile, so you can just put the car or the dishwasher on when it's going to be cheaper. That doesn't sound any more time-consuming that what we do now. I think I will give Agile a go!

There are various charts on the Energy Stats website that FreeBear linked to immediately before your post, if you're looking for a general comparison.

If you want to compare your specific household use, it's more difficult. And also, "past results are not indicative of future performance" as they say in financial ads. Even if eg. Agile would have been cheaper for you over the last year, that doesn't mean it'll be cheaper for the next year.

Here I am on Agile now, being PAID this afternoon to turn on the airfryer, the tumble drier and top up the EV.

    Bye bye, tracker buddies :-)

Brave man! You deserve the bonus! I’m on a really good fix away from Octopus - too much of a coward for Agile.
