It will still be worth going to tracker and agile come october and likely january IMO, although much less than it was a few weeks ago.0

If I were a betting man I would suggest the 16p gas tracker could be an ok option but electricity at 55p that's a tougher sell.0
-
Yeah. I mean some of the wholesale rates at present are getting up there anyway and that's in summer.

I strongly think the 55p will be the best option come October/November and the gas won't be far off either.0

My fag packet calculations had (for £3500 price cap) 47-48p elec and gas 15-16p per kW. Keeping the SC the same as it is now.milo_2020 said:I strongly think the 55p will be the best option come October/November and the gas won't be far off either.
Based on average user 2900kwh elec and 12000kwh gas
What do you have it at? Or are you thinking £3500 is still too low for the price cap for October?0 -
I think in January we will see a larger rise than expected, the October one has gone up twice since the estimations came out from Cornwall. I can't see it coming down - it's not in big corporations favor anyway to reduce the cost, why would they when people will go into debt and pay it?
I wonder who will be footing the bill with all the jumped meters?0 -
Based on October predictions and January too, there may be some value in Octopus tracker as time goes on, if not immediately.0

Yeah it's a bit of a mind bender, given that I think the price cap will be somewhere near those capped rate tracker come Jan 2023. But that is some 5 months away in which you will potentially be paying more than cap.flyingscotno1 said:Based on October predictions and January too, there may be some value in Octopus tracker as time goes on, if not immediately.
Mind blown, brain cell needs a rest0
