Gas down quite a bit tomorrow. Don't understand why that would be
Could it simply be a mistake? Maybe someone pressed the wrong key I.e. 5.74 instead of 6.74
Gas is showing in the app as under 6p/kWh for me. 5.92p/kWh her in Southern region, in my last few days on the Dec 23 formula.

5.73p in Eastern region on Dec '23, but 6p on Dec '24.
I'm going to be happy with my 14 month 6.03p fix from the weekend onwards, as I would worry more about next winter than the months in between.

  • Gas prices at a two-year high, putting pressure on already expensive energy bills

Low rates of gas storage in Britain and across Europe, combined with cold weather, have increased demand for gas to heat homes.

    ...

Global trade tensions have stoked fears of more supply shocks. On Monday, China slapped a 15% tariff on US gas in response to Donald Trump's tax on Chinese imports.

After leaving Tracker for the joys of a 5.74p gas fix, and a slightly less joyful 23.66p electricity fix, I find that my IHD is working on an electricity price of 42.27p. The actual metering’s correct, but goodness knows where the IHD picked that up from. I’d been trying to work out why our usage, which never exceeds £5 a day had rocketed to more than £8!

May be we shouldn't be getting agitated over differences of "just" a decimal point or two. Particularly with elec where the unit values are higher
Really , on the TDCV  medium/high for gas 6.6 vs 6.0 = 170/120 per year difference, obviously it’s different for leccy, not so pronounced unless all electric.

I've got conf from gastracker.uk that North Eastern Gas is 6.72 today 10 Feb and 5.86 tomorrow. May be Tracker is staging a comeback in the face of mass (?) desertions.
That compares with 6.15 p for the 14 month fixed rate and 6.12 for the latest Dec 24 v 1 Tracker. Not much in it in SC's either. Where is this taking us?

I just emailed to ask that I stay on Agile but change gas from Tracker to flexible. He replied that that was done. Then I got an auto email saying my new tariff for electricity would be flexible and no mention of gas. Hopeless!

Also for no good reason my gas has been industry smoothed over the month, this time and last. No half hour reads are missed. I just worked out what my bill should have been and they've undercharged me by 3 quid so I shan't say anything. But it's annoying that they do it.
