Back when we had a PHEV (prior to the EV we have now on IOG tariff) we were on regular Octopus Go.  We charged our PHEV on the TOU tariff in addition to moving all our high energy use to night time (which used to be 9.5p per kwh12:30am-4:30am).

Looks like 🐙 have closed the loophole which is only to be expected.

And I don’t blame anyone for taking advantage of the situation if they could at the time.  You can’t tell me that 🐙 didn’t know full well that people might do that. The checks they made when we applied to 🐙Go basically consisted of telling them the make/model of our PHEV and nothing more.
That loophole for GO (not intelligent go) still exists it's just the morality and ultimately the legality.

I believe the same is true for the Tomato lifestyle tariff where many appear to be selecting equipment they may or may not have to extend the 5p kwh slot.

Yes but the formula for Tracker prices will increase with every price cap rise so Tracker prices will probably be higher than December 24 one.
Yeah but I'm hopeful that natural gas prices come down enough so that we get decent unit prices.  Wishful thinking perhaps?
We do not use much so I have risked renewing tracker before the prices rise again. In a couple of months our gas use will plummet with no central heating on.

I don't believe Tomato have said you need an EV, it's more like choosing a family size lasagne without a family.

Is the Jan 25 14-month fix a fiction? Or am I just looking in the wrong place (All our Tariffs)?

Easier to find if you filter by domestic and fixed.

I think Octopus pulled that one last week and replaced it with the 16 month one

Don't you tick the box to say what you have. EV, batteries and solar as an example? Or have I got that wrong and don't they name them specific lifestyle tariffs?

@RavingMad Very wishful thinking IMO. AIUI the stocks of gas in Europe, who have better storage than us, are low because of the cold winter, and we don't have much either as there aren't enough storage facilities for it in the UK, therefore gas prices are likely to remain high into the summer as Europe and the UK restock after the winter. Supply and demand in action.

We fixed at 5.74 at the start of January.

It isn't a current tariff, it was replaced with the Feb 16 month tariff, I just locked it in a couple of weeks ago...
