No, people have had to have a smart meter to join tracker for a few years now. For me, I got notified that you needed a smart meter to stay on Tracker, there was a hoo ha on here about making sure you had your smart meter fitted before your tracker was due to roll over to next version although their terms said to join you needed a smart meter. I did nothing and rolled on to tracker Dec 2023 without a smart meter (I give manual readings each month). I then got a notification at some point saying they were changing the formula and I think at that point they said that when my tracker fixed period ended (Feb 2025) I would not be able to stay on tracker without a smart meter. Still no smart meter.....have jumped ship in any case to a fix.

- Electricity unit charge: (W * 1.1846) + 9.7767 p per kWh
- Gas unit charge: (W * 0.03604) + 1.4978 p per kWh
3rd April to 1st July:- Electricity unit charge: (W * 1.1846) + 10.2928 p per kWh
- Gas unit charge: (W * 0.03604) + 1.5478 p per kWh
1st July to 1st October:- Electricity unit charge: (W * 1.2320) + 11.6125 p per kWh
- Gas unit charge: (W * 0.03604) + 1.9316 p per kWh
From 1st October:You can see that the wholesale price multipier for electricity increased in July, but for gas it's unchanged. The fixed part of the price halso crept up until July, but fell back in October.- Electricity unit charge: (W * 1.2320) + 11.5903 p per kWh
- Gas unit charge: (W * 0.03604) + 1.9272 p per kWh

Latest twist: I have discovered that within All-0ur-Tariffs if you (or I) click in the "Smart" filter box it causes all Trackers to vanish. Even though when I reverse the procedure, the versions that are displayed show the Smart box as active alongside flexible and domestic in their box. I'd guess that all versions since the dawn of time are displayed this way in "Historic".
One could ask if "Smart" means that the tariff in question requires a smart meter. April 2024 is shown twice for good measure.
From tomorrow's sub 18 p rate I conclude that the high winds outweigh the lack of sunshine from a washing machine perspective. There are only a handful of occasions in the last 3 months that the UR has been this low.Telegraph Sam

There are only a handful of occasions in the last 3 months that the UR has been this low. That is correct, even though the Tracker tariff brandishes a "smart" label, it is not tagged as smart for the filters. That might explain why you couldn't find it. I only use the domestic filter when browsing tariffs.Sunshine has a small effect on price at this time of year, and for drying purposes this would be a good day but for the rain. Wind is what we are looking for, but in this case the wind might be too strong across several regions, so turbines will be shut down to avoid damage. Tomorrow may still end up being the cheaper day because of this, but we shall find out in a few hours time (my washing machine is ready and waiting for the 10:00 auction).0 -
I'll keep the Tracker washing machine on stand by awaiting your report. I imagine that extremes are where Agile outperforms, positively and negativelyTelegraph Sam

If you believe the stats on the member dashboard, earlier today the Ripple windfarm at Kirk Hill was generating at ~101% of rated output in an average wind speed of 46mph.

Seems like this is no longer worth it now...
It was good before but now prices are consistently higher than most fixed rate energy plans1
