I'm all for the freebies - for "Pink Friday" I've got £1.35 compensation for a popcorn voucher that didn't work, a free breakfast roll and coffee at Greggs this morning, and a "plushy Octopus" just arrived in the post this afternoon. Haven't watched my Christmas movie yet.......
  • I can't say that my behaviour has been influenced in the slightest by benefiting from the paltry Octopoints rewards.

It’s a very canny, but cheap, way of boosting the company’s profile though. They excel at low cost but high impact PR stunts. Much cheaper than improving the appalling customer service levels - 12th out of 15 in the last published survey.
  • I think it's  up to us to push for more meaningful rewards. I don't use Twitter sorry X much but this would be a way of airing you 12/15 observations

Im hoping they give free electricity on Christmas day.
  • Is there a reason why I cannot find any Tracker anywhere within All our Tariffs? Unlike Agile. I even invented a fake London postcode but no joy.

I thought it might be because Tracker I suspect was due to be confined to the scrapheap in the near future due to the OFGEM "market-wide half-hourly settlement programme" which was due to start in March 2025 but has now been delayed by a further six months.

Octopus already has a ready made replacement in Agile so no need for Tracker once half hour settlement starts.  As it's been delayed again, Octopus will have to put up with it a bit longer.

  • Then Tracker should at least appear under "Historic" tariffs along with the others. Personally I hope they keep Tracker indefinitely. It suits my lifestyle and attitude to risk and to date has brought better results than Agile.
