Current tracker version - gas is higher than current 12 month fix for certainty with no exit fees, obviously higher still than cheaper fixes for certainty with no exit fees that were available previous month(s)

Tracker December 2023 v NLA to new customers higher than fixes for certainty with no exit fees that were available previous month(s)

Tracker should be getting compared with cheapest standard tariff (fixed tariff) with no exit fees.

Currently, Tracker prices for me are 0.06p per kWh cheaper on both gas & electricity compared to the current 12m fixed. Compared to SVR, 1p cheaper for electricity, and 0.6p for gas.
Still not panicking, and intend to wait and see what the prices do.

For my comment, I think it should be compared with whatever tariff northernstar007 is on which I think is Dec 23.

    Please correct me northernstar007

northernstar007 compares Tracker gas with cheapest standard tariff with no exit fees which is the right thing to do.

I am still seeing commentaries on other forums from experts who are saying that the gas price is being artificially inflated by speculation, and there is no underlying reason for prices being so high right now, and implying that sooner or later they will come down again quite a bit.  Let's see.
