k_man said:Indeed, and from mid April to mid June, the majority of days the gas unit rate was below SVT, with quite a few sub 3p days (not sure we will see many of them for a while).
Since then it has been around SVT.0 -
Electricity DA has hit its highest price in months, which would mean a unit rate tomorrow (for me) of 46.64p/kWh, so the v2 & v3 cap has been hit for the second day in a row (and the third day in the last four).2

Do I switch to agile? Been on tracked for gas and electric for one month. No savings made.
Although, I understand it is going to be very warm or hot, and breezy, early next week so maybe prices will come down0 -

Reduction in hydro-power generation is something that hadn't crossed my mind, plus the reliance on air-conditioning which is more prevalent across Europe.
All that electricity needs generating, somehow. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)1 -
My AC has been on and will continue to be on all week, avg a day is about 6-10kwh for usage at night (bedroom) and day (downstairs + outbuilding)0

I have received a reply from Octopus to my Tracker unit rate cap enquiry, originally sent to Greg Jackson, but replied to by a CSA (with GJ Cc'd at every stage):-'With regards to your query on Tracker tariff, in a nut shell Tracker isn't a fixed tariff, so theoretically it could change, but it's unlikely to. Obviously that doesn't give any guarantees.
As this tariff is billed to a true daily wholesale rate it can be considered risky or volatile but this is all part of the tariff terms and conditions.'2 -
They still have not answered the base question which is although it is likely to change (contrary to what they say) will the cap of 11p be adjusted for people already on V3 unlike when V1 and V2 was changed.
We are not asking if the cap will change or not, we know it will. Go back and ask that specifically0
