I expect the Octopus person got mixed up between Dec 23 and Nov 22 (which was available until December 2023). Of course, we know some individuals are still on Nov 22.
  • What "logic" (?) do you think determines whether the consumer stays on an old(er) tariff than others?

Meanwhile, enjoy your Dec 2023 rate while it lasts. Octopus 'senior customer happiness' person tried to tell me it was a defunct tariff and no one was on it any more.
Those of us who were already on on Tracker were moved onto the Dec 2023 revision in Feb 2024 and should be on it until Feb 2025.
On December 2023 V1 Tracker here. Signed up at the end of January and just missed out on the HooHaa.

No! Sadly the 🐙 (senior) happiness person had not one single clue how Tracker works. It was excruciating -  to say the least.  Somewhere back in the darker depths of this thread I think I detailed it. I was one of the original V1 Tracker peeps and she thought we had all been cheating to still be on it last winter. I had to explain it was company policy and we were only a relatively small bunch of customers.
I realised that they have no process documents so you get different information depending on who you talk to. They don't actually train them on Tracker or Agile.  🤦🏻‍♀️

Nope, this is my experience too. Even at complaint escalation phase I was explaining to them how the tracker tariff worked

Now you mention the V1 detail I think I remember the earlier post about it.

Of course that's why they call both Agile and Tracker "beta" tariffs.

We all get very cheap energy and have to expect a few bumps and through our own research and this forum become much better informed than any of Octopus customer service representatives.

Not a bad price to pay imo.

We too were on Tracker v1 and saved thousands so anyone that digs the knife into Octopus after benefitting soo much just cannot be pleased.

    question about my contract
im still on old tracker, joined nov23 with end date on app, but on statement says no end date
so which 1 will it be, will i be kicked off it and put on the new ver on my end date on app or will it just run on and on
  • I got moved to Dec 2023 v1 I suspect with the general exodus. This is what the invoice says but "price guaranteed until  Not applicable". Yet the web site says .. "ending 15 Feb 2025". Does this give me immunity from being switched to a later and more expensive version? I don't use the app
