Whilst on the topic it would be interesting to know where Doc_N gets his FIT generation credits from. Seems to be an extremely good rate. Did someone say that you can no longer join an FIT scheme, that FIT's had been replaced by less favourable SEG's??0 -

There is a third box on my home page entitled "Export MAN request accepted" stating
"We are currently working on enrolling your Export MPAN onto our supply, this should only take a couple of days".
The transfer date was 5th July so they are taking their time. Email correspondence said that it had happened.
@Doc_N. I started with FIT'S with Scot Power 11 years ago. Their current rate for generation units is £0.237. This is minute when compared with Doc_N's 72 p which prompts the question if it is possible to switch supplier to get this rate?Telegraph Sam

As for the 71.85p, it's a standard rate across all companies - but it applies only to retrofit installation between 1 April 2010 and 31 March 2011.0 -
The FIT generation rates were halved, or more than halved shortly after that time, at the same time a minimum EPC became a requirement. They were successively cut in following years. The rate you get depends on the type of system, and the date the system was accepted into the scheme. I'm sure a quick Google would turn up the applicable rates over the years.0

Can't imagine any power company is going to be rushing to pay anybody new to them 72p per kwh.

Does that then mean that FIT generation rates are NOW uniform across all providers - with the exception of for users who can benefit from more favourable rates that were on offer when they entered into contracts and which have been carried forward and uprated? And that said rate is googlable? I must compare the SP rate with this obviously.Telegraph Sam

Classic case of how impenetrable one can make a topic if one really puts one mind to it.Telegraph Sam
