More cause for concern about gas than electricity as far as Tracker prices are concerned? Is one more volatile than the other?
Gas tends to be smoother than electricity as there are temporary reserves, but if smoothed over a few days, the swings are similar in percentage terms, but electricity moves more in absolute terms due to the higher base cost. If there was an event that specifically restricted gas supply, then electricity could be spared some of the pain if other methods of generation could pick up some of the slack.

Seems like Gas is more Volatile to market conditions and global political events. In general, electricity does seem to be the more stable of the two nowadays now that Octopus uses more local sustainable sources of electricity like wind and solar etc

No huge increase on Tracker tomorrow either, despite the low winds.

I was surprised today wasn't more expensive, as wind generation is at its lowest between about now and tomorrow afternoon. Wind generation looks to be back up to a healthy level in time for peak consumption, and the whole of next week is looking fairly reasonable at this point.
Temperatures still seem pretty mild. I've not needed to put the heating on so far, although came close this morning. Fortunately, the sun did its bit before I had to.

Interesting as these points are, considering past correspondence does it not make more sense to think and talk in terms of averages over a more extended period - for Tracker if not for Agile? Recognize that there are 2 different objectives:
    1. short term = shall I do the washing today or tomorrow?
    2. med / longer term = is there a statistical case for staying on Tracker instead of a fix as winter approaches?
    If only I knew ..

There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know

OctoPlus is worth having, you can opt into free electricity and saving sessions, and get guaranteed small payouts on your future wheel spins (plus other incentives TBC). It sounds like you had good luck on your initial spins!
It's likely that you'll find yourself on Tracker tomorrow, if you've accepted conditions already. Possibly today's usage will be billed as such.

In answer to this final point, you might be interested in https://octopus.energy/blog/octopus-home-mini/
Supposedly you can get OctoPoints for setting up one of these, and it will allow you to track usage in real time through the app.
