Can anyone confirm that Octopus Watch app gives correct costs for Tracker? (Retrospectively is fine, it's just for keeping a monthly spreadsheet.) Found out yesterday that the Octopus app itself says monthly cost information is an estimate and excluding standing charge, and Bright uses the unit rate of the day the smart meter was installed (as the IHD does).

It isn't, however, traded on a Saturday or a Sunday.

Edit - checked my bills, was two days, 23rd and 24th August. Same will have applied for you as I am in the cheapest region.
This was at the time gas was a couple of pennies higher on the wholesale markets than now, 22nd August was the peak (117) and went rapidly down in the following days. Now going back up (currently 112):

Price fever lol
In all seriousness what are people's plan B and plan C
As said before once the average price hits 23p kWh on tracker that's when we switch to Cosy Octopus as that's what we envisage our average price on that tariff to be. Then when the winter is over probably Agile. So that's the plan so far.
Just to confirm we have a spreadsheet from the moment we joined tracker so know our average kWh price and until that keep going up from 22p on its way to 23p we will pull the trigger with the potential 2 week lead time.1 -

I think my plan B would be to drop down to Flexible if things got really bad and the outlook was for a prolonged period above the price cap. I don't envisage that happening, but if it did, I'd probably save more by minimising my usage than load-shifting on any of the currently available smart tariffs, as most days I spend no more than 2-4 hours up and about at home. Might go full on hertslad if I can bear it, but I find those thermal base layers quite uncomfortable.
