Some have had emails saying they guaranteed a place on tracker and will be sent an email invite to switch on or after July 1st,jessmist said:I put my named down to go on the tracker tariff.
I haven't heard anything from Octopus and I'm wondering if I will just get transferred onto tracker tomorrow?
Anyone know what i should expect to happen ?
Thanks1 -
Interesting.
I'll see if I get a email tomorrow.
If not I'll contact them to see whats going on.
Thanks1 -
They will not automatically switch anyone, some may have changed mind or only want one fuel out of 2 on tracker.jessmist said:Interesting.

That makes sense.
I was wondering if I might get an email tomorrow to see if I still wanted to switch to tracker.1 -

I've never received anything
I haven't been on the list that long, I just joined it when they said they were opening it up to 50k in July.

Double mistake - No gas smart meter.fryedslyce said:
A great result for you, they appear to have renewed your v3 rather than put you on the latest version. This was either a mistake on their behalf or a gesture of goodwill for messing things up.JohnPo said:Mstty said:
I hope they stick to their word and kick you off tracker otherwise it's an empty threat like checking if you have an EV on their previous EV tariffs🤔🤣JohnPo said:Just had by renewal email re v3 tracker (gas only - no smart meter) - same email as one posted earlier in this thread.Replied back asking to stay on tracker and had an email back sayingI have not applied to have a smart gas meter so will see what actually happens in 6 weeks time.'Thanks for getting in touch with us at Octopus Energy. I'm glad to hear that you've decided to stay on the Octopus Tracker tariff for your gas.'
Be interesting as to what they do I think they will just leave it all as is without the need for a smart meter.Update for you, my tracker V3 expired on the 25/06/23, I was rolled onto 'Flexible Octopus tariff'. Emailed customer services pointing email from them in May and yesterday they wrote back very apologetic and confirmed I am on tracker for Gas backdated to original expiry expiry on 25th June.On checking the online account I am now apparently on Tracker v3 - fixed term until 25/06/2024 - makes no sense!
Elsewhere someone with a smart meter August renewal contacted them to say wanted to stay on tracker tariff answer was had to go on waiting list.
Octopus really do seem all over the shop in what they do, when I queried them about confirmation if I am on the electric tracker waiting list, they responded by moving me, completely unexpected with what has been stated publically.
I now know off 5 people who renewed the old GO tariff, 3 were extended on the cheap old version, 2 were put on the more expensive one.

You were already on gas tracker should have had electricity moved to tracker following request, some got told had to go on waiting list.Chrysalis said:bristolleedsfan said:

thought i'd roughly worked out how daily rates were going to change. didn't see a 5p (to 12.93)
drop tomorrow for electric. and we've done wash loads today and even a tumble dry as its drizzly

A drop specially arranged, by Octopus, for all the new Tracker customers tomorrow?pfpf said:thought i'd roughly worked out how daily rates were going to change. didn't see a 5p (to 12.93)

But, seriously, a surprising drop, to what, after a quick scan (so I may have missed something?) across my spreadsheets, seems to be the lowest electricity UR since I joined Tracker, in April 2022?!
