Gas Tracker falls to 3.37pkwh tomorrow reflecting some of the lowest wholesale gas prices of the last 2 years1

I moved house, decided to keep tracker which Octopus did. Note in the latest bill, I've been shifted to November V1 - is that correct or should I have kept my older version as well?0

Assuming you took Octopus moving home option whilst your existing account was still openflyingscotno1 said:I moved house, decided to keep tracker which Octopus did. Once we have a better idea of your usage at the new property we can help you decide if your monthly payment is right.
After you’ve moved, you’ll get a bill showing your end of usage at the old home and the start of usage at the new one. (Handy if you're curious to know how your new home has affected your energy consumption."

.I don t have smart meters at moment but I did nt join Tracker till Jan 12 th this year so I d better get them installed before they suddenly boot me off onto a waiting list .
With todays Tracker gas being so low at 3. 4 p /kwh today and electric at 16 p /kwh I d like to hang on to Tracker given that the latest very high rip off prices due on July 1 st are going to be something like 8 p kwh gas and as high as 30 p kwh electric .

Is this the latest version of Tracker? It doesn’t have Tracker in the name. It is the tariff they have put me on at renewal and runs for 18 months. It threw me a bit because the reference is Silver-flex-22-11-25.
The lady I spoke to on the phone did not speak English as her first language, I hope they haven’t started using overseas call centres.

Yes it is, date relates to when that version was launched. 25.11.22Griffindog said:Is this the latest version of Tracker? It doesn’t have Tracker in the name. It is the tariff they have put me on at renewal and runs for 18 months. It threw me a bit because the reference is Silver-flex-22-11-25.

Large numbers of emails going out today to people on the wait list. No signups though until 1 July, by which point it might be quite a difficult decision to make if there are some decent fixes around. A potential 2 weeks on sky high rates is quite a gamble on the new scheme. 24 hours is one thing - 14 days another.0

So as of today the wholesale price of UK gas is quoted at around 2p per kwh and I will be required to pay around 8p per kwh which is a mark up of 400%. Most retail businesses in the UK average a mark up of 20-25% in my experience (qualified accountant) which means that Ofgem has failed and needs to be replaced by a "toothed" watchdog working for the consumer. Will this government do it?
