Octopus Tracker

Perhaps someone needs to look at the My Details page to confirm that gas has been set up.0

For the latest gas tracker on Octo-Aid, you will see prices but they are not spot on. They are for the previous version of the tracker (look at the tariff name). The developer of the app has written about Octopus not providing pricing via the API for the latest product and he has had to use pricing from the previous version.[Deleted User] said:Download Octo-Aid and you will get a daily notification of prices at about 6pm.
It’s a good approximation. If you want an accurate price, you will need to look on the Octopus app itself on the day or mysmartenergy will give the next day’s price in the evening.
The pricing problem for the latest gas tracker and the “fix” are well discussed on the Octo-Aid Facebook. I think the same price problem extends to the latest electricity tracker on the app. Previous versions of the tracker on the app don’t have a problem, it’s just the latest version.

Mine is absolutely spot on. My gas costs match those shown in Octopus Watch and on my bills. I am OCD about correct billing. I am on a 6p CAP for gas.Cirrus1 said:

Dolor - what is the name of your tariff?I know that I am on the latest because I moved over a few days ago and there is no 6p cap on mine,0

Mine is called
Octopus Tracker November 2022. The previous version I think is July.

Octo-Aid rounds to 1 decimal place, but aside from that, as long as the gas rate is below 16p it will accurately reflect the latest version of the tariff...Cirrus1 said:

I have downloaded the Oct-Aid app and gas is working but electric still shows me as being on the flexible tariff. My Octopus account show it correctly and I have the email from Octopus showing my change to Tracker. I changed tariff last Saturday to tracker.0

Are you on the original version 1 tracker from early last year? Mine is V3 (June 2022) and the cap for mine is 40p electricity and 11p gas. I think the caps just increased from then on. Unfortunately the Octopus website currently says they can’t find any tariffs for my postcode 🤦🏼♀️[Deleted User] said:
