Now that the EPG discount has increased to 6.4/31.8p for gas/electric, I assume that July V1 is, in effect, capped at, rather than slightly above, the EPG. Or am I misinterpreting something?0

That would also be my interpretation.1 -

Tracker is currently trending on HUKD, and they're going daft for it.

Some of the posters on HUKD really haven't got a clue. If there's a sudden spike in wholesale prices they won't spot and 6 months later will be screaming about mis-selling.4.7kWp (12 * Hyundai S395VG) facing more or less S + 3.6kW Growatt inverter + 6.5kWh Growatt battery. Just done the sums and having been on Tracker for 5½ months, overall we've saved just over £165 so far - and that's *after* overpaying by ~£130 before the EPG kicked in. The last two months each have been over £100 cheaper than if we'd been on the SVT - granted, that's only been possible because of the EPG, but without the EPG everyone else would have been paying a lot more all the time too.1 -

As others have said, Tracker and other time-of-use tariffs (such as Agile Electricity) require the daily attention of pro-active consumers: these tariffs are the first to fall but also the first to rise if market conditions change. They are not for consumers who just want to ‘fix and forget’.3
