Afternoon all, current spends are £82.73/£350 which is a bit higher than I'd like for this point in the month. Although I do have quite a bit in the house. Need to do a rough meal plan so I start to make space in the freezer, as it's looking pretty full.

Did a bit of a stores shop at just before 8.00 yesterday - all lovely and quiet but almost no cat food. I'm not sure how cat food has been added to my food budget (and litter, and medicines we can get from the sm!) - no wonder my budget is a little stretched! £39 stores and about £70 on other stuff, it will just be bits and pieces now.

Our own asparagus needs harvesting so that becomes a fantastic addition - favourite light supper is steamed with a little melted butter, salt and pepper, a frugal sprinkle of grated cheese and a poached egg

Visit to A5da this morning as had run out of milk. Still getting mine delivered but as DH is lactose intolerant, I haven't worked out how much to order. Just a small spend of £8.98. YS strawberries, apples and oranges. Also tandoori paste as I have a notion to make tandoori chicken and chips. Also will have lots leftover yogurt and the tandoori paste contains 24 portions. Have left £186.69/£250
