She had a fall 4 weeks ago doing zoomies, a greyhound thing, put her foot in a hole, the only thing I can think of, just hopefully control the pain with meds and hope the swollen glands go down.Do I need it or just want it.5 -

BTW anyone watch Martin Lewis extreme savers last night? Loved the grocery challenge, the lady couldn’t buy anything until she had used up her fridge freezer and stores. Perhaps I will take inspiration from this 😏

Spend is going well this well this week. My mum did the food shop this week (she's staying with us at the moment) and we've only gone seperately to get some beer and wine last weekend.
We did get a chinese takeaway last night as the stepkids got very good school reports so treattime for them. We obviously bought too much but should give us tea for 2 tonight and SS took lunch on with him. I normally put take-aways in a seperate budget, but as we have the space this month leaving it in groceries.
Starting to struggle a bit with all the things my mum doesn't eat (curry, thai, middle eastern, too spicy, beef mince, anything made from beef mince, sweet potato, tuna, macaroni cheese, vegetarian meals, couscous, lentils) and also all the things she's never had so not sure about, even choosing something from the Chinese was hard. In fairness, she says she's always enjoyed everything I've cooked - but that is because I'm fully catering, although, as she's buying the food cost wise it's less of an issue, just a bit tricky when someone eats very different to the way I cook.
She tends to coook us a roast on a Sunday and is going to do a shepherd's pie next wednesday (weekday stepkids visit), but i am missing a curry!!!
I'm on £181.49/£450

Shopping this morning and managed to get everything on my list for just over £20 which I'm pleased about. Plenty of food in the freezer but will need to spend on a few things in the next town when I go early next week but most of it will come from Bulk Fund not Groceries. Currently have £144.68/£250 left for the rest of the month so seem to be doing OK.5
