You can try rinsing stuff under tap before putting in DW, but I got fed up with this. I now buy JS rinse aid, it’s the cheapest I can find (sometimes out of stock) but I’ve had no streaks. The rinse aid amount in DW tabs is not enough
We have extremely hard water. To combat it, I dilute my washing up liquid with vinegar half-and-half, in a pump-action hand-wash-bottle and use 2-3 squirts per wash. Without added vinegar, I’ve had glasses go milky. (To fix that, soak in vinegar over night.)

Hi all. OH spent £13.00 even at M & S this afternoon for 2x milk, a dozen eggs, 2x boxes of bran flakes, strawberries, skyr, and a cup of egg mayo. I didn’t bother going to Lidl today because it was raining all day and my snuggly bed looked like (and was!) a better option. I’ll head there tomorrow after lunch out.4

Very small shop at L!dl this morning on the way back from my dad's. Just 4 of their fresh crusty rolls, a cauliflower on special offer, 4 garlic mini nans and their sticky toffee pudding which is the best I've ever tasted and so reasonable. Came to £5.80. Cauliflower will do 2 meals , as will the nans and pudding. May spend £195.67/£2505

Hi All
Well, I have good news to report re the washing machine cleaner. It has cleaned the machine up well. Both DH and I agree that a contributing factor has to be muck dragged in by last summer’s low water pressures.
Two small shops to declare. £6.40 spent in Sainsbugs yesterday and 65p spent in the C0-0p today. The C0-0p spend was on two small YS custard tarts. Yum!
This brings our total spend to £74.80/£142, leaving £67.20 for the rest of the month.
