Well done! I always think Silver is the important one (my user name helps!) mainly because of the lounge access.
Then again the lure of the even nicer lounges and the first wing at LHR make gold very attractive.

As things stand at the moment they often shut The Galleries Lounge and turf everyone into the 1st Class one later in the Evenings.

Lounge Access and Free Seat Choice from point of booking are the highlights.

I was rather disappointed you don't get a physical card anymore - it's all virtual. Gold can still request one.
Not bothered about the membership card but I always liked getting a new set of luggage tags each year. Fortunately I still have  few Silver tags from previous years when I qualified despite being stuck at Bronze for the last few years.

Did my first BA flights a couple of weeks ago with a quick trip to Edinburgh to collect 80 Tier Points. Just need a plan on how to get back to Silver by next summer.

You missed The Lounge at EDI being open then ?

Point runs from Edinburgh are easier as you are going via LHR and stacking up 160 on a trip to Belfast/Dublin/Jersey with no dreaded tests or quarantines.

Yes, just missed the EDI lounge reopening but I was driving back home from LHR so I wouldn't have been to enjoy myself anyway. Quite like the new app-based service at the Heathrow lounges and hope that stops as standard.

Looking at a few options for long weekend TP runs. Jersey and Belfast are both fun places for a couple of nights. It would be nice to get somewhere warmer but with rules changing constantly it really isn't worth the risk of booking anywhere.

Just a quick update I will be hitting Gold next week on an Inverness Trip.

It's been frustrating chopping and changing but trips to Newcastle, Belfast, London, Dublin, Jersey and at the Weekend to Germany have brought me up to the line.

When I started out in May the Planes and Airports were empty now they are nearly back to normal, quite a change in 6 Months.

Will hit 1140 points next Friday just scraping over the 1125 requirement  :D

No chance of me going for Gold but I'm aiming to get Silver by next spring.

Just back from a Club Europe return to Tenerife for 160 points and I have a bargain weekend in Porto coming up

Still looking for somewhere for Christmas but the prices are either too expensive or the destinations too risky.

Thanks for the update . That is good going in a pandemic, only someone with your determination  could achieve that in 2021 . Have you calculated How much has it cost in total (flights) ?

Most of the trips have been packages with 3 or 4 Nights in a Hotel and Business Class Flights from Edinburgh via LHR.

Average cost around a monkey, however if you factor in the saving on 200 DF Bensons on the way in and out that reduces each trip by about £140-£150 as I would have bought the cigarettes anyway at UK High Street prices.

Factoring that in you are talking about 2.5 to 3.0 bags.

More than anything it has been great to get away and as I alluded to it is getting busier by the month onboard and at Airports.

I still have three scheduled foreign trips before X-Mas - Greece, Albania and Turkey - fingers crossed !!

Certainly some good Club Europe deals available now if you can be flexible with time, especially with double Tier Points on some holiday bookings
