  • Has anyone been to Matalan Clearance recently. I was there about 3 weeks ago and they had better offers in the main stores?

Edit: Well not the greatest haul I've ever had. No BOGOF or offers on. On the plus side they had loads on stock, much of which is rather nice. However much of it is just half the normal matalan price, not expensive, just if you have been when everything is a pound and bogof, its seems pricey!

Best bargains were winter scarfs (yes I know its august) for 20p, i got a brown, black, pink and red one, all different types some thick wool knit ones others more plain. Belts also for 20p in black, red, blue and brown (thick ones).

Quite a lot of those little jackets with the shortish sleeves, the nicest ones were half price, others about £4 - 6. Really nice thick wool lined trousers for a pound, all long length sizes 16-20. Matching jackets too(£4), although they were all size 8 -14. I'm sure there is someone out there though that wears a 14 jacket and 16 trousers.

Kids stuff, most of the boys is just half matalan price. And if your 12 year old wants scooby doo boxer shorts your laughing. Had a quick reccy at the girls stuff, lots of nice looking dresses etc for a few pounds.

Lots of high heels for around £3, never looked as promised myself not to buy any more shoes I can't walk in! (god I'm turning into my mum!)
  • Thanks Lynnexxxo. Am going on Saturday as I lifted the wrong size in a skirt last time and I hope they will exchange it. It is quite a long journey for me and I sometimes wonder if it is worth the time and expense although did get some great bargains in May.

Its definately not as cheap as it has been at other times, but there is a lot more and varied stock than I've ever seen before.

I'm sure they will exchange your skirt, i've found there staff to be really nice. I pop in quite regularly, so if you decde not to bother going I'll post on here when they get there really cheap sale on!

Hiya Always Harassed, if you have a long journey to get there i would suggest you phone to see if they will exchange as i'm 95% certain i've read on the back of the receipts or on a board in store that they don't do refunds or exchanges. I'd be happy to be wrong but i wouldn't want you to waste your time/money to find out they don't.
:pwould like to make it known it is not a DHN, she's dancing :p
