Sadly the nail kit wasn’t working so well. I could get them to stay on 4or 5 days, but some would ping off or crack. Then when I took them off (what a soaking rigmarole) I was finding my nails underneath were terrible. They were weak and breaking. So I stopped and let them grow back to full strength. Now I am trying once more, but with no real prep, so no filing the nail bed or weakening my natural nails. I don’t mind if they ping off as long as my nail underneath is still healthy. I have gone for starry sky, which is jet black with gold flecks. I’m feeling autumnal so can go for a nice Halloween vibe 😁
i finished work early yesterday and changed the bedding, so I don’t need to think about it today. I have a Tesco delivery between 9 and 11 so need to be ready for that.My new stocks and shares ISA is tanking, I am on a minus % this morning and have lost over a pound. I’m maybe not cut out for investing 😖 I had built it up to £600 and plan to swap some about to bring it up to £1000. Then I will sit tight and see how it performs over the year. I’m not ready to throw in the towel just yet, but it’s definitely not a get rich quick scheme! I was thinking it was more sensible than having everything I own in pb’s as they don’t make interest, but as my alternative is to lose money I’m not coming out of this as a financial genius 🤔🤭

Stocks and shares have taken a battering in the last few weeks. They are a long term investment so although I check the level every week I know they will go up as well as down, so not too worried. The best thing to do is invest regularly through the year so that you buy some at the lower prices and they can hopefully increase.Good luck2

I’m not brave enough to do the stock and share banking. I’m a slow and steady kind of girl but at least I know it’s safe. Good luck - I’m sure it’ll work out for you but ima wuss 😂😂

Yes, I am rather disgruntled that the stocks & shares have stolen £1.11 off me, but I have still invested some more. I swapped out a bit from pb’s to bring my isa to £1k. I am hoping that by purchasing low it will help make profit over time…or not! We shall see.
My back went again yesterday, I’m not sure what caused it, possibly helping dog get up…anyway I’m at my desk in some discomfort with my heating pad back on! So my steps will be abysmal this week 😖 I’m going to really be very diligent with tracking my calories as I have no exercise to cover any tiny extras.

I'm not really one for stocks and shares I think. I'm frustrated that my AVC pot went slightly down. I know that it will all even up in the end, but I think I'm too much of a wuss to take the stress
I'll stick to gambling on pbs I think.

Good morning and happy Wednesday ☔️ My back is still horrible! It feels better first thing after being laid down all night, but a day in my office chair is turning me back into a cripple. I can tell it’s bad as I’m popping paracetamol, which is something I try to avoid normally. I’ve probably had more in the last 3 days than I had for 2 years. I think I’ll stop now, for that reason alone! The nice thing is that yesterday and today MrWW came in from nights and did the morning jobs of emptying the dishwasher, throwing the old cat food out to the birds and putting out fresh pet food at their various preferred eating stations and made me coffee. It’s been so nice hobbling out of bed and into my office with nothing else to do 😁 The downside to this is my steps have been abysmal and although I’ve been sticking to my calories much better this week, it’s had no scale impact because of the lack of movement. I swear my maintenance calories must be about 800!In money news, I have ordered some birthday presents I need for next month, so October me will be very grateful, but September me is again wondering why I have no money left 😖 The plus side is it giving me the instant gratification of ordering things without it being wasted. I have also ordered a budget book (7.99) and a metal ruler with stencil holes (4.00) and a flat calculator (I think it was 6.00 for a set of 2). I know I have loads of books and an excel spreadsheet, but I am hoping a new book to track every spend might keep me on the straight and narrow. I can crack out my coloured pens! I don’t tend to itemise personal spends on my spreadsheet , it’s more high level to track dd’s etc. and then I just group spending, alter numbers as I overspend, etc. And I’m hoping a running total of everything, with colour codes for categories will give me a better grip on where and why I’m going wrong. Once again my pots are empty with the odd dust ball rolling by and I need October to be better…but obviously not waiting for October…the rest of this month will be better. What I really need is a reset and to stop spending for a while…I’m finding it hard to get into that mindset. I feel like last year I had mastered this much better and have slipped back.
MSE seems to be playing up a bit and is t letting me move to page 2 of my bookmarked diaries for some reason.
I hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday….please enjoy not being broken for me 😁✨Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Oh hope you feel better soon. Don't worry about the steps and the calories while you're in agonies, do your best and prioritise looking after yourself. Your body will need calories to try to heal! Can your work be asked about a more ergonomic chair being supplied?2
