Hey look at you dancersizing 💃 well done!

I dabbled with doing my own gel nail colour in the pandemic. Mine always chipped at the end but there’s a knack to it that comes with practice. I was too impatient 😆

I know you have to cap them, but mine are short (because I followed the advice of lightly filing them before putting the base coat on…it ruined them, even though I was really, really light, so I won’t do that again) so capping doesn’t work. I did try builder gel as a base base coat this time 😅

Well good morning, happy Monday and it looks like spring today 🌷☀️. Yesterday was almost like summer…it’s very odd and unexpected. Unfortunately today I am already chained to my desk, so won’t get a lot of chance to experience it outside, but it does make a nice change.
This weekend I bought a box of grab bag Doritos from the big river place, as the local supermarkets just will not stock them! MrWW said he would pay from the shopping, but as I am in charge of the bulk snacks I said no. Other than that, no unplanned spends at all. I have about £70 in the weekly spending money category to last until pay day (the 28th, early because of the bank holiday), so that is a vast improvement.
Next month won’t be a massive savings month as I have the heating oil pencilled in, May is a visit from the family, a big birthday and my AA yearly renewal, so that won’t be a full savings month either. June is looking good, then July is mot and service month, August is yearly car insurance renewal, then I have a clear run until Christmas. This is why I should have been filling those pots 😖. I am going to concentrate on filling the mot and service pot for now as the other expenses can all be covered each month if necessary. But next year I promise myself and you that they will all be full and ready for each expected payment. I don’t know why I let myself fall down so badly.
In better news I have dropped half a pound over the weekend, so the increase in steps and downward tweak of the calories seems to have made a difference. Let’s hope this is the start and the next stone will drop off 😅
I hope you all have a fabulous Monday. ✨🌷☀️

  • Thank you so much for mentioning pay days. I had completely missed that I will get my pension payment next Thursday,  this will help As I appear to have accidentally bought a car before the money for it from a house sale has come in …….
some had to go on credit card - oops

Perfectly understandable, these little things do have a habit of sneaking in our baskets 🤭🤭

Good morning and happy Wednesday ☀️
Work is terribly busy at the moment and whoever can kick off is doing it with a vengeance! Trying to get everyone in line is like herding monkeys right now 🫤 Such fun.
I have managed to drop below the next pound today, so that’s something. It’s just been so slow, but changing down from 1400 to 1300 cals is making a difference. I need to up the exercise, but finding time on a work day is hard.
I haven’t spent anything for days and am feeling quite virtuous 🤭 I will get to pay day (a week tomorrow) in style this month! Every so often I pop a bit of money into a pot to keep it moving, but should still have some left over. I feel like I have turned a corner from spendy back to savey. I’m looking forward to seeing the results of this in 6 months or so, when the pots have stacked up!
I hope you all have a lovely day ✨🌷

    Thank you @jwil.
Good morning and happy Thursday to you all ☀️
Yesterday I really fancied cheesy garlic bread, so with the calories I had left I managed to have 3/4’s of an average sized freezer one from farm foods. It was so good, even on its own! I have a quarter left, which I will stinkily consume for lunch 😅. It wasn’t the healthiest meal, but this is where calorie counting comes into its own for me. I can’t fail if I adjust the portions to match the calories I can have. I will make sure I have a salad or veg rich tea to bulk up the volume today.
So now we are just one week away from pay day, so that’s nice. I am hoping for a pb win this month as I have had 4 months of nothing. I truly think I got Ernie’s back up by withdrawing some as he’s been mean ever since, even though I have a decent amount in there. The people on full holdings always dominate the winners lists though and it could be 20 years before I get there, if at all 😣
I hope you all have a lovely day. I really must stop procrastinating and get back to work ☀️✨

I only recently started buying PBs because so many people on the diaries seem to win. However since then there don't seem to be as many wins so sorry for jinxing it for everyone. I never ever win anything, just not lucky like that. No harm in trying though 😆

I know everyone has the same odds, but I didn’t win anything for ages. I got my first £25 after I’d got over the £5k mark (which took ages!). If you look at the big wins list it is possible to get a massive win on a tiny holding, but lottery rare I expect 🫤 On the plus side, we still have our money, not like the lottery 😅
