WinterWarrior said:@LadyWithAPlan I have just had to stock up on my shampoo and conditioner, which isn’t cheap, but is on a 3 for 2 offer right now and will last me a year. It’s from the Cornish seaweed bath co and is so good. It has stopped me shedding like a moulting dog 🤭 Some things are worth the price I think.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone.
Not much to report here. Work has been busy, I remembered pancake day so we had a nice pile of homemade pancakes with lemon and sugar yesterday. Today we had a romantic tea of fish and chips in front of the tv from the van that comes to the village. They were very good.I hope you have all had a good week so far ⭐️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy weekend ☀️
We set off for lunch and food shopping and MrWW’s car was flashing a warning, so we had to come back and swap cars. I prefer not to drive MrWW as he can’t help ‘saying things’. I mind my own business when he’s driving 🤭 I had a lovely Mac n cheese and then we came back via L*dl. MrWW did some diagnostics on his car and touch wood seems to have cleared the fault, which is a big relief!I did my nails a very sparkly light blue called wisteria and then we watched the new mission impossible film with snacks.I tried to wash dog as she’s pretty stinky, but after 3 refusals I gave in. She used to love showers, but I think she’s not up to all the running around and shaking while I dry her off. She’s much too big to lift and refused to be pushed in, she just anchored down and it was like she had suctioned herself to the floor 😅
So anyway, I didn’t spend anything today as the food bill is MrWW’s and it was a nice day.

😂😂 The dog putting the anchors down reminds me of my old dog…..there was no chance of getting him anywhere near water. 😱 I remember having to resort to a paddling pool in the garden with my neighbour watching and laughing saying Blue Peter don’t do it that way. 😂😂January spends - £587.582
