Happy birthday week, sounds like you are having a lovely time. Just done the Mot service route so stressful. Your weight loss is brilliant that stubborn bit will soon drop away. I really wanted your salad and the sundae. Have a good day x

It is high but he only a % those vehicles that just do local runs.  What made it annoying for me but was like water off a ducks back for him.  Where he worked when he started was mostly businesses but the last few years it had turned residential & one of his neighbours used to report his cars by its actual number plates rather than the trade plates that were on it.  He used to get at least one DVLA letter a month about it.

Hope the car bill isn't too painful!

I always want to get things investigated/fixed, but DH is more of a wing it type person unless something's clearly wrong.  It stresses me out so much if I'm on edge about some random rattle or vibration.  You can guarantee that the time you would break down would be the most inappropriate time!

@jwil me too! I stress over it, can I hear something? is it getting louder? More frustrating when it can’t be found, but you have to trust your judgement. I do struggle to think that I know best…but sometimes we really do! I think it’s a hard lesson for most women to realise that we can be in charge of our own lives without second guessing ourselves or thinking the men in our lives know better 😖
Today was a strange day. I tried several times to get some painting done, but ended up in work for 2 hours and then for another hour later. I managed to rub down the paintwork and get the first coat on the surround and rubbed down the door ready for a first coat so that’s something.
I hope you all had a good day.

I hope you’ve credited yourself with this time you’ve been logging on to work on your week off.

Boo to having to work.  Definitely make sure you get your time back.

I do bow to DH's superior knowledge with cars,  but I'm fairly insistent when I want mine looked at.  I refused to travel in his car earlier this year as the issue that had been there for a long time was clearly getting worse.  He did then get it fixed because he doesn't want to travel to Scotland in my car :D

I will add the time back to my flexi…and todays too!
In the ‘you couldn’t make it up’ update of today, the garage range to say everything had been done except the mot! Why? Because the mot ramp broke….sigh. I have provisionally booked it back in next Friday, dependant on it being fixed. It’s lucky I always book a few weeks before it runs out to be safe, but I could have done without the messing about. I could take it somewhere else if they could fit me in, but I have trust issues 😬 The good news is that I wasn’t imagining the tiny noise when the car was in motion as they found a stuck brake something or other (I want to say sensor, but that doesn’t sound right), anyway the tiny noise is gone…hurrah. I could only hear it with the window down and the music off, but I’m always worried about escalation 😁
Other than that, I did another coat on the window surround and a first coat on the bathroom door (which looks like it will take at least 13 coats to cover 🙄) and not much else.
I hope you have all had a good Friday 🌞🌞🌞

How annoying about the car.  Good news about the noise being fixed!

Well done on all the painting.
