Happy Friday Eve ☕️🌟
It’s still like a swamp up here, but has finally stopped raining. I don’t have very much to report really. Our spare cat turned up minus his tackle (finally), so I’m very pleased about that. There are enough unwanted kittens out there. I think the owners are probably too late to stop him wandering as apparently he roams from one end of the village to the other. There was an ‘anybody recognise this cat?’ Post on Facebook just before he was neutered and there were so many replies of where he visited (and one facepalm from his real family) 🤣. He’s always such a chunky solid little thing, but he turned up much lighter and proceeded to have 3.5 pouches of food..so I’m guessing they feed him what it says on the box and not how much a really active, chatty and sociable boy actually needs to keep topped up.
My weight went up again this morning…those scales are on very thin ice 😒

Think those scales need a good talking to. How very dare they tell you such things when you’re trying so hard. The weather is absolutely dire. We were talking earlier and said we were so pleased it wasn’t like this when we were pent up during lockdown.January spends - £587.582

Thanks for checking @Sun_Addict 😁 All ok, but nothing new to report really! I have stepped 8k steps, changed the bed, did some washing and started a painting, that’s about it!I was just reading on bbc news about the women’s chess tournament in Kenya. Someone in a full burka was found out to be a man. The punchline for me was that suspicion’s were raised because he was playing so well…apparently chess must be something poor females don’t have the brain power for 🙄🙄🙄

Happy Sunday ☀️ It’s been very bright here today. I went to the cwop for a few bits and my car treated me to the tyre warning again. Must be a slow puncture 😡 My lovely car was faultless for years, but in the last 6 months seems to be aiming to bankrupt me 😢 It’s still cheaper than replacing it, but I keep hoping I’ll get to a point where it’s had every new expensive thing its heart desires and will give me time to recoup the savings 😅
I spent £350 yesterday on MrWW’s birthday present as he had ordered it early. I will pay myself back next month where I had budgeted for it, so it’s fine, but still gave me a pang to take it out.Dog has been basking in the sunshine several times, but comes back in for a cool down. She doesn’t go out in the garden on her own, so I’ve got quite a few steps in while she’s been messing about.

When we were on holiday last Autumn, @WinterWarrior, our tyre-warning light came on & so Mr F turned back into the nearest town, headed for a garage & tested them all on the air-pressure machine. There was absolutely nothing wrong with any of them. We hoped the wretched light would go off overnight, but of course it didn't & remained on for the entire holiday. Tyres were checked again mid-week & again the night before we were due to drive home, as a long journey. On every occasion, the pressures were perfect. Very weird.
We did recall that the tyre warning light had come on when a moron in front of us braked suddenly, causing us to do an emergency stop. Luckily no rear-end shunt into Mr Clueless, but the incident did seem to ping on that emergency light. Back home, Mr F took car over to dealership for the issue to be investigated & they weren't surprised at all. Apparently it does happen & he was told that if it happens again, no need to even phone & book, just pop car over & one of the mechanics can re-set it very speedily. Well, that was all good to know, but frustrating to be driving around on holiday fretting about that damned light. So on the basis of this, I won't trust a tyre-warning light again - I'll defo go & get the air pressures checked, but won't naturally assume that there is actually a problem unless I have more evidence. Kind of hope yours is doing something similar & that you won't end up requiring a new tyre.

Thanks @foxgloves. It’s done it a few times and each time the same tyre has lost pressure, so it’s not just a shady warning. However last year I was getting pressure warnings and that was a sensor and a bearing that caused that, so you are right, it’s not always the tyre. I had no idea an emergency stop could set them off! No, we had no idea either, but at least we will know in future. It does sound a bit unfeasible, but we knew we could trace the exact moment that light came on to our hefty emergency stop. We felt it kind of spoke volumes that the garage mechanics weren't at all surprised by it. It does sound as though you could have a slow puncture then. Boo to that.
