Oh dear to Mr WW’s poorly back. Hope you’re surviving. Mr M is in the camp thinking I’m poisoning him if I suggest a tablet. And as to the inhaler the doc prescribed ‘waste of time’ until he forgot to order a prescription and wheezed for England until he’d been taking it several days again. He hobbled around the first few days of our last break away and gave in to some anti- inflammatory gel…so it must have been bad...it was much better after a couple of days…..but nothing to do with the gel 😏😂😂January spends - £587.583

Happy Saturday everyone 🌞
I fell off the wagon I’m afraid! Lots of stupid unnecessary frittering means that this month, for the first time in about 6 months, my savings have decreased by £500 😪 What an idiot I am. I’m so cross with myself and need to binge watch Mr Ramsey and all the money saver YouTube’s to get me back on plan. I feel unsettled that there are still car costs looming in a few months and also MrWW treating himself to a high price man toy set me off thinking why couldn’t I spend too….but of course that’s ridiculous. I’m happy for him to spend his money on whatever makes him happy, that shouldn’t derail my savings plans.Work has been busy and I haven’t been giving it 100% this week either 😞 I need a good shake.
The calorie counting is still going, although we had an Indian takeaway on Thursday (the first one this year) and despite not over eating it resulted in a pound I had just lost throwing itself back on! I’m at the almost halfway point now and my ‘fat’ jeans are baggy. Still some way to go to fit comfortably into my thinnest clothes though. How is it that I struggle to do two things well at the same time? Being good with food and good with money simultaneously seems to be beyond my capabilities.Today will be lunch out (calorie counted) and food shopping. And some watching of the coronation!

One off month won't make a huge difference. Hopefully you've got it out of your system and can get back on track now

Don’t being be hard on yourself. It was a splurge and little detour on your journey before getting back on plan. You’ve got this 👍January spends - £587.581

Happy Sunday 🌞
The lunch out was nice yesterday and I watched quite a bit of the coronation. It makes me proud to be British, we do ceremonies very well. There’s always someone who has to go too far with a ginormous hat 🤭 I love hats, always have, but not the massive bonkers ones.
MrWW went off to do his hobby in the afternoon so I wasted my afternoon sitting around. The sun is shining today and MrWW is mowing the lawns. I’ll hang some washing when I can bestir myself.I hope you all have a fabulous day ☀️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I feel sorry for those trapped behind the person with the massive hat. That would be just my luck!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Good morning and happy Wednesday ☀️ The sun is shining and I am trapped at my desk 😅
The bank holiday was lovely, even though a trip to big Tesco was the highlight. After falling off the savings wagon for 3 whole weeks I am still really annoyed with myself, but have drawn a line under it today and have taken steps to make sure I can’t go back to mindless frittering.
I did win £25 on the pb’s which is my first win since December. I have it set to reinvest and added an extra £75 to round it up. My pb’s have increased by £600 this month, but sadly my ‘available savings pot’ has gone down by £900 so I’m not winning there…sigh. Next month I will need to save everything I can to get back on track. Having savings is such a worry, all it takes is a big car repair or a few weeks of small frittering and it can clear you out. It all feels so much worse that just ‘putting it on a card’ like I used to. I suppose the difference is that it’s real money and not the banks.
The one thing I do need is a decent pair of jeans as my ‘fat’ jeans are too baggy and my ‘thin’ jeans are elderly and a bit tight. I used to always buy next jeans, but I cancelled my account years ago as I was getting carried away and there are no stores here. I’d be tempted to go old school with Levi or Wrangler, but I’m not sure on the measurements as I’ve not had those for a long, long time. Any recommendations?I hope you all have a great day 🌟Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I'm having the same problem with jeans. I've decided to wait though as summer is comong (hopefully) and jeans might be too warm. If I've lost more weight by the end of August I'll start looking and possibly even trying on then. I realise that you live in the middle of nowhere but could you arrange a night away or a day trip to a town with some biggish shops so that you could try stuff on? That would give you some idea of what to order.2
