I decluttered a lot of stuff when we moved here almost 9 years ago. One facebook entry says "two car loads to the tip and two car loads to the charity shop today" I was doing several trips a week for the three months before we moved. I promised the HT that if I got rid of anything and he missed it or wanted it in the first 6 months after we moved I would buy it again. I didn't have to buy him a single thing 🤣
The spare cat is very brave coming out in snow. The one we used to have didn't mind it so much but the one we still have who thinks that she is royalty won't set a paw over the doorstep if it seems too cold. Snow would be a definite no!2 -

Happy Thursday ☕️
Still snowy here and the spare cat (you’ve done it now @CRANKY40), was waiting in the snow like a small sad waif from a production of Oliver. He was climbing up MrWW’s wellington’s to get his paws out of the snow. He ate several large breakfasts and then we had to boot him out, so a) he doesn’t mix with the house cats and b) so he doesn’t think he lives here. We know he has a cat flap so why he thinks he’s spare cat of the Antarctic and treks down in all weathers is anyone’s guess. They did say they were getting him neutered, but there’s no sign of that and yesterday he had a tic (shudder) so clearly he’s not been frontlined since I did it when he had them last time 😖 unfortunately I’ve run out of cat frontline as mine don’t need it often, I think I may have to buy some for him.
Yesterday I cleaned another drawer we never open…some old mail, lots of ribbons from packing or around cakes, some old pens and dead batteries….the shame! I will have no trouble finding 9 things today.
My car should be collected today by the local aa equivalent.
Other than that it’s just work today.
I hope you all have a good day ☕️🌟🥶Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

A bit of a spendy day today as I have ordered a pack of 3 frontline plus for the spare cat and new pack for dog as I dosed her with her last one yesterday when the cats tic was spotted (luckily it seemed to have dropped off him this morning). As long as I keep up to dog we don’t get fleas in the house or on the house cats (touch wood). I don’t normally give her it when the weather is cold and we were surprised to see one so early. MrWW thinks he’s maybe been playing in farm animals barns or something similar. Then I bought some more Dreamies and a weird f*sh jumper on prime with was £22 including postage. They are normally about 60 for this style, I think maybe it was cheaper as leftover stock because it’s an off white colour….never a good idea for me, as I’m a notorious spiller 🤭. Anyway I got rid of about 10 tatty old jumpers in the great drawer clear out at the weekend, so I can safely say I’m not exceeding the one in one out rule. I still have much sorting to do…and 9 objects to find today for the challenge.
My car got picked up, luckily MrWW supervised as I would have been too worried watching the proceedings…this way I don’t have to think about it 😕 I’m hoping it will be cheaper than quoted as we are off work next week and I’d like to enjoy a few lunches out.
My 0.4 of a pound has been up and down and back up again this week, but I’m still hoping to make it to 10lbs by the weekend, I have everything crossed. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I.did that decluttering challenge a few years ago, @WinterWarrior, & you're right, it's amazing what you find. I'm organised & am not remotely a hoarder but I was turning up bits & pieces all over the place, including a few I couldn't even identify!

2) To read 100 books (36/100) 3) The Shrinking of Foxgloves 7.1kg/30kg

I decluttered when we had workmen in a couple of years ago. It’s Dh in this house that’s the hoarder…..we still have an empty oxygen cylinder from his diving days - he hasn’t dived since about 2005 😳 WHY 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ and don’t get me going on the sheds. 😱😱January spends - £587.583

I’m glad it’s not just here. We don’t look like hoarders at a glance, but so much storage is rammed with who knows what when you open it 😅 and our offices aren’t the best. Anyway, I do hope to get to a point where I can open a drawer or cupboard and only see things we use and like or need!Today we found 2 glasses we don’t like or use, a freebie mug, 3 washed out jars that had pickled onions/beetroot in so still stank of pickle juice and are absolutely no good for re using, a random pint glass and 3 oddly shaped f&m tins that weren’t much good for anything. The glasses and mug will get dropped at the charity shop, the jars and tins will recycle. This was just a quick panic look for 9 items, I’m not even scratching the surface yet!@milan the cylinder made me laugh, our loft will hold similar treasures.
@foxgloves yes to the unidentified objects 🤣Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Ww thankfully we don’t have a loft 😂😂😂I’d dread to think what he’d put up there out of my sight 😂😂😂
I once had a spree and threw things out of drawers he had crammed with ‘stuff’ All his early home computers - which may (or may not) be worth a fortune now….according to dh 😂😂😂😂😂😂January spends - £587.582
