Hi everyone, I’m so sorry I have been AWOL. I think I got diary fatigue 😕
Today I received a present from someone I wasn’t expecting to send me one this year, so had to quickly send a hotel chocolat sleekster back (from prime for the quick delivery)…then I spent longer than I should, congratulating myself on having the funds to send out an unexpected gift without causing me debt or problems. That would never have happened in previous Christmases. I still run a tight budget, but with wriggle room.At the beginning of the month I won £50 on the premium bonds! We had 2 visiting cats turn up on the windowsill for feeding today (one of them several times). One is an old hat who has been coming at random times over the last 10 years (from across the sheep field) and one is the boy whose owners think is a girl. We’ve taken him home twice, but he clearly knows his way there and back again now, so we just feed as required!I’m still working for a few more days (boo), so I’m not feeling as Christmassy as I’d like to be…yet.

Oh so pleased to see you back have missed you. I must admit I am not really feeling Christmas's at all had arranged a big family dinner at my daughters but not sure that's going to happen now. The visiting cats definitely know where to visit for a spoil!! Hope your working days go quickly, take care x2

Welcome back WW. You have been missed.
I seem to be getting nowhere fast at getting myself organised for Christmas. I don’t know how I managed when I was working. The more time I have the longer it seems to take me to do things. I’m still a bit shell shocked at the thought of the family coming to me for the first time in about 10 years this year. I still haven’t written a shopping list for the food…although I’ve been collecting a few bits including the turkey of a while now. I actually need to take stock of what I still have to buy. I have been saving at @sd@ but really need to sort out what I need. Tomorrow is designated for a big tidy up and putting the camp beds up for everybody.January spends - £587.581 -
Good morning and happy Tuesday 🎅🏻🎄
@Four_Seasons why might you not be going to your daughters? Do you have a back up freezer turkey, etc, just in case?
@milann that sound so busy. I would be panicking about the food. MrWW is big into Christmas dinner so has been stressing about the MrT order for a month and has no less than TWO frozen turkey crown back ups 😅 I have to cook it all so am much less enthusiastic! A glass of fizz and a tube of Pringles would do me, but instead I’ll be rolling pigs in blankets and honey glazing carrots and parsnips, etc. so he can have is much anticipated Dickensian feast! It never feels quite as jolly just for two.
Two days count down for work..and then dentists in the 22nd 😖 this is the broken tooth and filling that happened in august, they are so backlogged this was the first appointment I could get. I’ve been trying to get a check up since covid, but they only do emergencies now…and still leave you waiting 3 months 🙄
I was hoping work would be quiet, but it all seems to have exploded 🤣 and sadly the diet did not go well! I managed to lose 1lb….oh dear. It’s going to be a January problem.
I hope you all have a wonderful day 🎄🎅🏻Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy Tuesday WW, so good to hear from you, glad you're ok. We've been known to have curry on Christmas Day, none of us are bothered about traditional Christmas food. This year I'm making myself a nut roast, Mr SA is having beef and DD is having chicken.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Hi WW hope you have had a good day at work. Plans for Christmas are difficult my partners father is very ill, we have been here before but he thinks that this time he will pass so at the moment we are taking each day at a time. Yes we have a turkey in the freezer as we were hosting next week but who knows! Have you got your decs up yet? we aren't exchanging presents this year choosing instead to have experiences all together after my daughter's near miss, time together is precious. I loved strictly this year any of the final four were worthy winners. Hopefully January I will get the motivation to loose some weight and get fitter, as I am quite reclusive anyway winter I tend to hibernate x1
