@Sun_Addict that’s a good idea. I might have a go after work when MrWW is on nights later in the week. I find it much harder work having to explain what I’m doing 🙄Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I found Marie kondos book good for decluttering. Not suggesting you buy it. Borrow from library 😀

I’ve just had a week off work ( back tomorrow 🥲🥲) and the plan was to declutter. I managed one wardrobe and one of my chest of drawers. Never got to the smallish built in cupboard in my bedroom, cupboard of doom under the stairs or the kitchen. That’s a problem for another time!! On the plus side I had a lovely week off and saw lots of friends and family as it was my birthday 🥳 I’ve eaten plenty of chocolate and the odd cake 🍰. The decluttering can wait!! Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend xxslowly working towards being MF one small over payment at a time :T4

Good morning and happy Monday 🍫📚☕️🧁
Lots of you have been decluttering! Well done @southern_chick and I hope you had a lovely birthday 🎂 Marie Kondo is very interesting @moving_forward. I’ve been watching A to Zen life on YouTube, Marissa somebody 😁 …her house is bare! But she’s lovely so it’s nice to watch.
Work today and a count down to payday. I’ll try and book Friday off if there aren’t any important meetings booked in. Next Monday is a BH, so it will be nice if I can get a long weekend, I know the following Tuesday is undoable 😖
im so done with work today and I haven’t even got up yet 🤣
I think I’ll do my monthly run down once I get in front of my spreadsheets.
I hope you all have a wonderful Monday filled with happy things 🍫📚☕️🧁🌟Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Morning WW, happy Monday
I'm off to the office today boohoo, I'm not looking forward to a 5 day week.
I have been watching BBC Breakfast and they are talking about niknaks - are they going out of fashion etc. I will never be minimalist as i like stuff such as candles, photos on display, throws etc but i don't need paperwork from 5 years ago etc! Yesterday i found a load of gift vouchers that DD1 had for her birthday in 2020 - all still in date so she was very happy!

@Deni_debt-free_dreamer I hate to part with things, so have lots of ‘stuff’. Too much! The gift vouchers were a great find! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Ok, so here is my monthly round up and it’s not as bad as I thought. Mainly because I pulled it back after my new leaf/gazillionth light bulb moment. This just shows what I could do with a complete month of being sensible!
the good…ended the overall finance at plus £265 on last month. Also paid £40.46 overpayment to the mortgage. Credit card at zero.
the bad…hadn’t budgeted for the big MrWW presents this month, but bought them early anyway. Frittered a lot in the first half of the month.
the ugly…nowhere near the savings targets I set for myself after I paid the debt off.
Savings for May will all depend on if I need to order oil for the house…if I can eek it out then it should be a good month. I have planned in £300 personal spends so I don’t go off the rails.Whoever suggested working my savings targets on % (@baileys_babe?) I have done this for both my regular saver and my premium bonds. I would like to get both to £20k which is an outrageous shooting for the moon target. Each % is £200. Currently I’m sitting at 20.5% pb and 1.5% regular saver!
So maybe in the next 5 years if I’m really dedicated! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
