  • morning WW you have saved this month ok not what your target was but still saved some - in my book thats a win! are you breaking the 300 into 75ish a week for spends or have you already something you would like to buy.
    personally I think you are doing great look how you keep us all informed/entertained about biscuits and chocolate.
    Have a good day x

    Thanks @Baileys_Babe and @Four_Seasons. Yes I will split into weekly amounts and any leftovers I think I should split between savings and mortgage overpayments. I will, of course, keep everyone informed about my mad spending choices, so we can discuss the merits of galaxy over cadburys and whether I should paint or paper my dolls house when it arrives 😁 I do really enjoy these debates with you all 🌟

    Galaxy definitely over Cadburys!

    Also what on earth are fat quarters! Just caught up after a week off including 4 days in Edinburgh with my boys and page after page I thought surely some will ask the obvious but nope...... so is it only me?  I kept thinking of fat rascals that a famous Cafe in York sell 😂

    Lovely to see the monthly roundup and that you HAVE saved.  I get paid on the 19th so I have been on countdown to my next pay day for about 5 days now 🤦‍♀️ 10 & 7yr old boys eat so bloomin much!!

    @BalanceBy50 I agree…galaxy wins!
    did you have a lovely break in Edinburgh? A mid month pay day seems like it would be a lot harder to manage?
    fat quarters are a measurement of material…like a big square. Nothing so wonderful as a fat rascal sadly 😞

    I will take either. Galaxy or Cadbury thank you 😁
    Well done on the savings. Your premium bonds are fab keep it up.
    We have £90 each spending money a month but alcohol clothes and such come out the general budget so it's purely for frittering.
    Mine goes on chocolate, my facial, crafting and bits and bobs for house or garden.
    Mr M_F's goes on computer parts or watercolour materials.
    It's about £20 per week each.
    Don't forget some months have 5 weeks so check before dividing by 4!
    How about aim for £50 per week with the rest as contingency. I find if I have too much I tend to aim to spend it all if that makes sense 😉

    @moving_forward £20 a week seems tight for chocolate AND craft stuff 😧
    I tried and failed with £50 a week some time ago, but it’s not a bad idea to try again with a small contingency. Clothes and alcohol and books would also come out of this. Books and chocolate tend to be my biggest vice 🫢
