Happy Friday 🥳I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I usually do all the wrapping in one go and get knackered so this year I think I'm going to wrap as it arrives. Also stops young nosey parkers! 🤣Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again2

Well as soon as I wrote my post the power went again! It was off until the afternoon when I had to log in to work quickly to explain my meeting absences from yesterday. Then I wrapped the presents (just half as half already done…I get bored and slap dash if there are too many in one go) and then parcelled everything up. I will take them to the post office next weekend after payday. I think they’ll be quite pricey as the boxes are heavy. I have made a shepherds pie as the mince was still a nice colour, even though 2 days out of date. I’m hoping the power stays on until it’s ready, as there are some suspicious light flickering going on!I hope the weather isn’t affecting any of you too badly.
Oh and I wrecked an NSD as MrWW reminded me the kitchen roll is getting low and I bulk buy some nice heavy duty rolls from amzn (own brand Presto) that usually last us 3 months, so I ordered it while I was thinking about it!Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Hope you haven't been too affected by the storm. Well done on getting the presents wrapped. Have a lovely weekend"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Good morning and happy Saturday ☕️📚🍫
It was very windy overnight, with enough snow to be white over at 4am, but all gone now. Luckily dog needed to go out in the night so both her and MrWW got to play out in it 😬
it doesn’t sound as windy now, but it’s cold, brrr.
No spends planned today, just limping along until Tuesday payday.
As I’ve said before, my November was terrible. So terrible it will take me until January pay and some strictness to recover the savings, although I’ll get a good lump back in December if I behave and no emergencies crop up.
so for November…the good - I kept the money aside in my pots and created a new pot for Christmas 22, which I am tracking on my signature. I have given myself a pb target, which ML says is the figure where you are likely to at least win ‘something’ that works out better than interest.
the bad - I got carried away with everything. Some Christmas spending, something we needed (coffee machine) and plenty of frittering.
the ugly - once I cracked open the savings it was like opening the floodgates and I couldn’t stop. This is a hard lesson to keep the majority where I can’t touch it in future and to be more aware of my complete lack of control! So that’s the depressing November run down! I can’t wait to get the last few presents and get everything posted off so I don’t have to think about it any more.I hope you all have stupendous Saturdays filled with good things (and Strictly 💃🏻 🕺🏻) 🍫📚☕️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

It takes time to get into a savings mindset, you’ll get there. Giving yourself targets is a great idea.
Enjoy your day 😁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Good morning and happy Sunday ☕️🍫📚🌲
I ordered my desk diary and calendar for my office today, but had earned a £5 voucher from surveys, chose the cheapest day to a page I could find, so it wasn’t too painful. The last couple of presents are preying on my mind so I may just get those done!Yesterday we watched A Boy Called Christmas. It was lovely and funny and Christmassy 🌲🎅🏻Today we have snow! Quite thick and fluffy so dog had a lovely time face sliding and rolling as she loves it so much. She was a tiny puppy in the really deep snow of 2010 so it has given her a lifelong passion for it 😁 I’m not sure it will last long, but I won’t be driving in it!I hope you all have spectacular Sundays, with lots of relaxation and good things 🍫📚☕️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy Sunday 😎 It’s very sunny where I am, no snow though. It will be a travesty if Dan doesn’t go tonight, he barely moved and didn’t deserve those high scores. I follow Strictly on Instagram and everyone is saying the same thing.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Morning, sunny here too. Missed last night's strictly but will have a look on Twitter in a minute.
I only have £300 in the PB's. I add £50 a month but this is essentially my emergency fund and will take a long time to build up but I'm ever hopeful of a win!
