  • The last interest I got from my savings account was 2p 🤣
And yes beanie, that barrier really helps. I have £1500 in premium bonds, am not winning anything, but I think getting it out would be a pain, so I don’t even think about it. The people who win seem to have the max £50k in…I doubt I’d get that from selling both my kidneys 😬

  • My grandson seems to win at least once a year never more than the minimum though, and certainly hasn't got over a couple of thousand in there, although I reckon he like to have lol!

  • Sun_Addict  - I think saving is harder than paying debt as well. I think (with me) paying debt made me more focused as I wanted it gone soon-as, but savings I put amount a away every month for most things but I can't seem to get my head around an emergency fund!! It's my go to if I'm short one month or need cash quickly and not normally an emergency.

  • Good morning and happy Thursday ☕️🍫📚🍁
A step closer to the weekend. I’m so busy at work I don’t have time to get anything done, I really must take the time to write a big list this morning and then work though it ticking actions off, otherwise I’ll start forgetting things.
I also need to work through my Christmas list. I really want to get it all done before December. This is really slowing down my NSD’s 😖
I’m hoping December can be nice and frugal, as November clearly isn’t!
I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday filled with happiness and chocolates 🍫☕️📚🍰

My boss actually suggested I buy a To Do list book as I'm so disorganised 😂

I'm now trying to make use of the Tasks options on my work system and add stuff to my calendar. The plan being I deal with all my tasks first thing.

I wouldn't count Xmas shopping as a spend on NSD's as they are planned spending. Same as I don't count groceries or petrol etc. For me an NSD is not spending personal money on willy nilly stuff.

Everyone has different rules for NSD's that suit their situation.
I count every day I spend money whether that is cash or card, except the payments for the children's training as I have no control over the day I pay, I would happily pay for a block at a time (as I did in the past - new person managing the money and this is beyond them), neither do I count direct debits or standing orders as some do, each of us have to find our own way.
