WinterWarrior - i was eyeing up tickets for the musical Six!  My DDs have seen it and wanted to go again with me.  I thought it would be a good xmas idea plus also for DD1's bestfriend.  I also asked my friend if she was interested plus she is a supporter of the theatre so has priority booking & possibly gets a discount.....  But while i was looking at the theatre website i saw other things i want to see.  We usually go to the panto but haven't booked yet and they are performing Oliver Twist at my nearest city too.  I love theatre!  But so expensive. Resist, resist

Could you ask for tickets (or contributions towards) for Christmas or birthday presents.

I love watching live performances.

I love theatre too. We usually go to the panto at Christmas, not booked it this year as the past couple of times we’ve been I’ve managed to have my leg in plaster so best not to jinx anything by booking one.

Baileys_babe - DD2 and i bought theatre tickets for DD1's birthday this year, we are going in a few weeks I may book tickets for Oliver Twist for Boxing Day .....  DDs and I often buy each other tickets or experiences etc  - i have a voucher for Betty's tea room which i haven't been able to use yet due to covid!

Good morning and happy Saturday ☕️📚🍫🍁
Not much planned today, just some tidying and cleaning I think. 

There were a few fireworks last night, which is unusual for here, but the pets aren’t remotely interested so it’s all good.
I declared an NSD yesterday and then forgot and spent £25 ordering my yearly operation Christmas child shoebox from the Samaritans….so today will be an undeclared NSD to keep me straight. I’ve been doing the boxes for about 15 years, we used to pack them ourselves, but there are no collection points here, so I do them on line now. I’m not really religious, but what small person wouldn’t love a box of presents and a book. I love the videos of the children opening the boxes, such excitement!
I loved reading about your theatre choices, I hadn’t heard of Six, but Oliver and the panto are classics 😁

Six is a musical about Henry VIII's 6 wives.  
I've had a nice day, met a friend for brunch at a garden centre and looked at all the expensive decorations we couldn't afford!  Then had a walk to the PO.  Just made pepper and tomato soup.  
Weekends go too quickly

Weekends do indeed go too quickly. Yesterday I washed the dog. It’s a big job as she takes forever to dry off and soaks the bathroom running up and down while I towel her. She’s shedding loads at the moment, but every time I start brushing her one of the cats materialises to demand brushing too…he loves it. 

Then I cleaned the dining room, which took hours as it’s been a bit of a sewing room/dumping ground and MrWW looked at a small leak under the sink, which turned out to be a huge problem where the kitchen fitters had bodged the connection behind a back board. It must have been slowly leaking waste down the back for years, which explains the weird smell in that cupboard and the recent amount of flies when the door was opened! He did a great job of fixing it, but it took him all day and a lot of cursing 😬
We have a high winds weather warning and the house has been battered with gusts all night, so I might not take dog for her drive, I’ll see how it goes.
We enjoyed worzel gum midge and strictly last night. Rose, AJ and John got our votes.
