Do you use MFP? I usually do alongside SW because some days I need more bread than SW says because I can't face anything other than toast for breakfast and somedays I have to make a packed lunch for best friend and I so I make sandwiches if time is a bit short. As you say it's all down to calories ultimately. I'm Mrsjhw if you want to add me as a friend.

We've all wasted money. I've done some odd things in the past. I gave away an entire Denby dinner service when Mr C died. Partly because it reminded me of him and partly because I hated it (he chose it) but did I go and buy myself a cheap set from somewhere else? No, I bought Denby again. It cost a fortune but I do still have it 11 years later and it still looks OK. My last stupid thing that I bought was an electric piano - that was part of my loan and I'm fairly sure I wasted some of the rest of the loan on something too. We need to find something healthy to be addicted to 😊

I do use MFP (when I remember). I will see if I can add you (and check what my name is) 😁
And it was Port Meirion for me. I collected loads about 20 yrs ago when I could ill afford it, but it has lasted so well and as it’s mix and match I have been able to replace items as they craze or break.
    Did you master the piano?

I can sort of play the piano. Enough to keep me happy 😁 I've added you. You've just reminded me I've never been to Port Meirion and I quite fancy it for a day out once everything is open again.

    I’ve never been either!
I’m impressed with the piano playing.
Thanks for the add. I went back up a pound this morning, so need to get back on track and start logging everything again.

Can totally identify with the last few days posts ladies.  I spend too much money on Candy Crush with absolutely nothing to show for it, I over eat however I now use Nutacheck and have banned myself from slimming clubs - first joined WW 32 years ago & weigh 7 stone more than when I first joined (I paid £5k to do a vlc diet 9 years ago so I could have IVF - lost the weight but put it all back on when i fell pregnant) overshop and am still waiting for the saving bug to hit me.
We will get there with each others support 😊 xx

@BalanceBy50 it’s so hard isn’t it! Slimming clubs sell you a dream, but even if you get there it’s so hard to keep going. I love all the bad things, so at least with calorie counting it isn’t so grim.
I play candy crush jelly and have got quite high up, but I’ve never even thought about paying, it’s strange how different things attract different people isn’t it. Boredom is my downfall, for spending, eating, playing...

Yes, evenings are the worst. I play world of warcraft twice a week with my best mate and sometimes in between either on my own or with my son. Subs for that are £10 a month which is doable. You can add things from the online store but we never have. It's not neccessary. I do candy crush too but don't pay. I think I recognised what the problem would be there. Besides if you do a hard level enough times it gets fed up and lets you through anyway 😊

I am actually a successful WW gold member, lost just over a stone 19 years ago and kept it off ever since. Still follow it, have treats so don’t feel deprived, selling point for me was vegetables are free no weighing. I’d rather fill my plate with veg than anything else. I don’t play games but I’m learning Spanish via Duolingo, free version though, once my hearts have gone for the day that’s it 😆

Well done SA, that’s amazing. I just yo-yo. I keep it off for a while, but then it creeps back in the form of good things!
I was fancying learning sign language, but I haven’t been able to find anything free, or any local courses.
    That sounds fun Cranky.

There are some apps for sign language but I don’t know if they’re free. I did a sign language course at work as we had a deaf colleague. Hardly used it since lockdown so the knowledge is fast diminishing sadly.
