@beanielou it’s so hard. I guess it’s finding the least damaging option. I know I’ve been wary of drink all of my life, just in case! I’ve never been drunk enough for a hangover and a couple of glasses of wine every few weeks is about it for me. I’ve also never tried smoking, not a single puff. I think I’ve had it in my head that these are dangerous things to get addicted to, but then I’ve fallen at other hurdles.
Do you still have your beanie babies? You could make a killing on fleabay!

Another Terry Pratchett fan here, Mort was the first book I read and I loved it,my favourites are anything with the witches in and three of my first hens were called Esme, Gytha and Magrat 😀
I am also addicted to wasting money on magazine so have to try really hard not to buy them,I also like books but don't see buying books as a waste so I get away with that 😀

Thanks @Onebrokelady. I also have some Terry P inspired pet names 😁...I was going to say TP, but that didn’t sound right 🤣 they’d have to be called poopaws or something 🤣
I used to get all the house magazines, but I got to a point where I was just flicking through them and not really reading them.
Happy Saturday everyone ⭐️ It seemed like a really long week.

Poo paws 😂😂 one of my weaknesses was house magazines but I found the same as you I was just flicking through them. One  day I added up how much I spent on magazines each month and when I saw how much it was I stopped buying them. My dear Mum always buys me a monthly women's magazine when we meet for coffee but I then pass them back to her to read and she gives them to one of my nieces so they are well read, I've noticed lately though that some of them are getting thinner but still cost the same and the amount of adverts is silly now

You are so right, the glossy ones can be just 70% advertisements. And if I wanted to see some scantily clad, golden, thin person looking like their world has improved with a squirt of perfume, then I could (of course) look at myself in the mirror for free....ok, maybe in my dreams, but...🤣🤣🤣

I stopped buying magazines a few years ago too.  If you are a member of your local library, you might find you can access them online.  Ours has loads on there and you can read them on the laptop or tablet for free.

I think you can look at them free with Prime too? I haven’t really checked as I managed to kick that habit. I definitely don’t know any of the new celebrities so those type of mags don’t make a lot of sense to me now 😬
I haven’t done much today, but haven’t spent either. A bit of sewing, 4km on the bike, a million circuits walking around the garden with my kindle while dog rolled, dug and carried her rock. It’s sunny, but I still needed a coat on. I have nearly finished the latest in the Firebrand series by Helen Harper. Then I’ll look through my tbr list to see what’s next.
