  • Thank you. It wasn’t quick for us as he was fitting after the stroke, I think as everything shut down and then he just lay quietly until he passed a few hours later, but I’m convinced after the stroke he wasn’t really there anymore. Putting him in a box and taking him out in the night to be pts would have been beyond cruel so we just waited with him, stroking him until it was time ☹️
Someone came out to the boiler, quite a few bits need replacing, so they are back tomorrow, but at least we have cold water now.

That sounds awful.  Glad you were with him.  I'm sure it was a comfort.

Glad you at least have water now.

I'm so sorry about your poor little cat @winterWarrior. If he was seizuring he would have been out of it, and he wouldn't have felt what was going on. Absolutely horrific you you and Mr W though.
You must be exhausted, after the lack of sleep and the emotional trauma. Just make sure you are very gentle with yourself and get lots of sleep and allow yourself nice things.
I'm sorry your boiler is knackered. At least there is cold now so that can be boiled if needed. When things go kaput in my house I always try and imagine myself in some much more exciting situation to cope with it - homefront in the war, or in a cabin in Little House on the Prairie, that sort of thing. It adds a little something to situations which might otherwise drive me to smashing things.  :D

  • Thanks @Elisheba, I felt like he wasn’t with us, it just took a while to slip away.
I love the imaginary situations…I’m a bit like that myself. I’m not always in the real world.

Good morning and happy Monday. 📚☕️☕️☕️☕️
Dog hasn’t got the hang of the clock change so is snoring gently in her large memory foam dog bed and blankies. It’s like having a pair of bellows in the bedroom  ♥️I took her for her drive in the afternoon as she knew she’d missed it. It was very rainy and the roads were wet, the rivers were over the banks in places, but no flooding, so that was good.
I think the right person went on strictly. What on earth did they do to poor gratziano? I wouldn’t have thought it was possible to make that man look unattractive, but they managed it quite nicely in those leggings and leg warmers. He must have died a little inside when he saw what he had to wear 😳
Well it was a horrible weekend, but hopefully the boiler will be fixed this week without a massive bill. If it’s huge then it will have to count as our Christmas presents to each other.
We didn’t get a single Halloweener last night. It must have been the driving rain, or maybe just no little ones in walking distance now. As kids, we would have walked through fire for sweets, no rain would have stopped us 😬
I spent money yesterday ordering some solar flower lights for the kitty grave site. We have 3 light up flowers, but they aren’t working well anymore and now there are an extra 2 babies out there. So I ordered 2 packs of 3 really pretty chrysanthemum ones, so there’s a flower each and one spare for if one stops working. It seems very strange not having his loud Bengal yell echoing around the house ☹️ The others are pretty quiet unless in the vicinity of a treat packet.
I hope you all have a great Monday filled with magic and happiness 📚☕️🍫🍁

What a lovely idea with the light up flowers on the kitty grave. When we lost our old cat a few years ago she had a plaque made with a poem and his photo on. We had him cremated at the vets so just buried the box of ashes. Previous deceased cats are buried here, there and everywhere in the garden. We've had quite a few over the years.

I hope this week is a better one for you.
